dude had a great year and is good. but Sapp changed Tampas defense himself... they never blitzed and he was getting big sack numbers from the interior.... Randall was a beast in Minn... Anyway Im not gonna hate on Watt cuz he is ballin...

I am not the most knowledgeable about football before 2001 (did not even know the sport existed). But before we jump to RACISM, post the STATS of the interior DLs who had better seasons.
Mayock is not dumb, he did not say Watt is the best interior DL ever, he did not say WATT is the best defensive player ever. He made sure to protect himself with 2 phrases, "SINGLE SEASON" and "INTERIOR DL".
But, what do i know, shouting RACISM is easier....

although it is a racial issue, in my opinion... i aint callin racism at all. its the exact opposite. i respect mayock opinion on football matters. and like i said watt has played exceptionally well, but its a case of "the great white hype".

Ya'll are overreacting. Dude pushed the single season sack record, got a ton of tackles, forced 4 fumbles, and defended 16 passes. If you think it's such a crazy comment post the season of people you think did better. Stop just sayin names of great linemen. Dudes in here soundin dumb.
