Yo i'll help you get this thread started by saying that Chelsea wins the EPL this season

    1. Chelsea
    2. Arsenal - Only if they get a GK and RvP needs to stay healthy
    3. Manchester United - To me they don't look the same without Ronaldo (could be just me)

    18. Wolverhampton
    19. Wigan Athletic
    20. Blackpool

da ? is European Football? like they don't have other types of football in Europe? it's Soccer short for Association Football just like Rugby Football or Gridiron Football. stop tryin to pretend you're gonna change how people speak. the word 'Soccer' comes from the English by the way and is one of the original names for the sport.

The rules of football were codified in England by the Football Association in 1863 and the name association football was coined to distinguish the game from the other forms of football played at the time, specifically rugby football. The term soccer originated in England, first appearing in the 1880s as an Oxford "-er" abbreviation of the word "association".

Definitely, Villa will have a good goal tally at the end of the month with the service he will receive and his finishing.

But the Special One has a way of getting things done. Madrid might not play the pretty Spanish football this year, but they will get the job done.

Kinda asked that same question the first time I joined this mesage board but, I guess its because we call it football and that's the best way to distinguish it from American Football. Would have been hard to call it the Official European, South American, Central American, African, Middle Eastern, Caribbean, Asian Football Thread.

American Football is not popular in Europe or anywhere outside North America, and 'soccer' is called Football in every part of the world bar North America so what is your problem?

and they call it Football in Arabic and Chinese really? how about in Polish are you sure about that? you're speaking English on an American website, it's Soccer.

Watching England Vs. Holland Under-19. Watched them beat Austria on Sunday. Sad to say, the future is not bright. Its still the same old English team. They lack a single ounce of creativity. There are a few good players like Nouble , Mellis and maybe Delfouneso, but thats about it.

They are getting dominated by the Dutch team that France destroyed on Sunday 4-1(that French team is badass, lead by Chelsea boy KAKUTA)

    Arsenal sell Eduardo to Shakhtar

Croatian striker Eduardo has joined Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk on a four-year deal from Arsenal.

The fee for the 27-year-old Brazilian-born player is reportedly around £6m.

Eduardo joined Arsenal from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2007 but struggled to regain his best form after a year out with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.

Despite that he signed a new contract at the club in November, but Wenger has decided to cash in as he rebuilds his squad ahead of the new season.

"FC Shakhtar have signed Eduardo da Silva from Arsenal. All the details were agreed at Donbas Arena in Donetsk," read a statement on the

Eduardo's horror injury was sustained in a challenge with Birmingham defender Martin Taylor in February 2008, but he marked his return almost exactly a year later with a brace in a 4-0 FA Cup win over Cardiff.

He went on to play three more games that season, and 32 in 2009-10 as Arsenal finished third in the Premier League.

He ends his spell at the Emirates with a record of 20 goals in 67 appearances for the Gunners.

Shakhtar's Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu said: "We wanted to buy Eduardo before he moved to Arsenal.

"Not everything went his way last season, but he is still a player of very high quality, a real marksman.

"Yes, he had a serious injury, we are aware of the risk, but at the same time we realise he can give a lot to Shakhtar. We expect a lot from Eduardo."

Few years ago, Arsenal fans could have sworn this guy was the 2nd coming (Just like Prince thought Hleb was better than Messi). To be fair to them, they never saw that horrific injury coming, and the dude has not looked the same. Hopefully he gets comfortable at Shakhtar, and has some success.
