New Metal Gear Solid to be announced at E3... only on PS3 and NGP (psp2)

Here is Kojima showing off MGS4 running on the NGP/PSP2. It's just a demo to show that PS3 games can be done on the NGP.

His vision is as follows:

Hideo envisions using the exact same game on the PS3 and the NGP. You play the game on your PS3 at home, and out and about you play the same game and same save on your NGP. A beautiful dream, indeed. "This dream is going to come true in the near future, and right now I'm working on this project. I'm sorry right now I can't disclose further information, but I'd like to present what we're doing at E3."

    kojima has beefed with them, you know he didnt want his baby in another studios hands, he's said many times "Rising is NOT a true MGS sequel".

    It's a spinoff that needed an entirely new (downgraded) engine just to fit onto 360. It's basically gonna be Castlevania with some stealth. and it's with bitchboy Raiden as the main character so nobody cares about it anyways.

    Looks like a rental, not a buy.



    and BTW if Kojima is right about sharing the same game on PS3/NGP you would have to d/l it from PSN. I'm not buying the same game twice

    Doubt this going to be ps3 exclusive

    Peace Walker didnt do great numbers and castlevania was a flop. other than that konami aint really working w/ much not to mention ps3 software attach rate is worst than 360.

    konami gonna have to make this mutiplat to make $$

    How did that work out for Tekken and Final Fantasy?


    Both of them took major delays (missed holiday season) because the team ported to 360. And those ports sold HORRIBLE.


    that last 2 full fledged Kojima projects have been PlayStation exclusive, and I doubt he's gonna go from an epic 40GB BluRay masterpiece in MGS4, to being limited to 8GB on 360


    Plus he's hinting at some major PS3+NGP collaboration for his next game, so unless Sony decides to make NGP compatible with 360 (which they wont) than it seems they'll be missing out on part of the game.

    The only reason mgs4 took up that much space b/c of the language and lossless audio

    You speaking like the ps3+ngp is collabo is mandatory. Sound to me like u can just continue where u left off on the ngp and then upload ur save back in the ps3. OK and?
