yeah, you can wear levis, no problem, but dont act like that ? is some kind of fashion statement.
it's a basic, not too expensive jeans, that does the job and doesnt look too bad in comparison to wrangler etc, i'll give you that but that doesnt make you karl lagerfeld. -

In the black community.. There is no comparison to levis and wrangler... Wranglers are mostly worn by white and are used for work.....
Levis are trendy right now without being flashy, etc... -
