My musical journey has taken me through alot of genres and sub-genres including Classical, Opera, Rock, Goth, Metal, Rap, Gospel, R&B, Country, etc. When I got to metal, it was the early 2000's but by about 2006 I let go and moved on to the next genre.
Bands that captured my attention:
System of a Down
Disturbed
Linkin Park
Incubus
Lifehouse
Godsmack
Creed
Puddle of Mudd
Alien Ant Farm
Hoobastank
Nickleback
Evanescence
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Default
The bolded are bands that have muliple songs that I like. So I just ran across this band right here and I'm liking what I'm hearing 3 songs in....
What do you suggest?

i used to be into it heavily in the late 90's early 2000's, not as much now, but my favorite bands from that time(and there were a lot) are still my favorites now..
Megadeth
Type O Negative
Alice In Chains -
Couldn't see the first video, but props on the second drop.

Yea. based on the bands u just listed, to me it sounds like your into alot of the nu metal/alternative metal kind of bands. so the acts that i think you'll not only easily gravitate to, but should also thoroughly enjoy because i think they are some of the best within that subgenre are
coal chamber
a perfect circle
glassjaw
rage against the machine
saliva
fear factory
mudvayne (well some of it, lol i really liked the album l.d. 50 though)
sevendust
As for the band in the video you posted? ive never heard of them prior to listening to the track. but from what ive heard when i played it, they sound like a more metalcore/emo kind of band. which i dont listen to at all. in fact, i despise it so your on your own with that one, lol.
But as far as some of my personal interests. i would have to say that im an overzealous fanatic of industrial music. not very sure if that's your thing. as it is an acquired taste. but i love it. its a crushing marriage of electronic music and rock. giving the music a static noise and making it devoid of any human feeling
here are some of my favorites
Im also a big fan of sludge metal. with bands like the melvins, acid bath, corrosion of conformity or eyehategod.
again this might or might not be your thing but im just trying to give u a variety. sludge metal tends to be more downtempo in speed kind of like early black sabbath or black flag's sound on the album my war.
love the guitar riff on this
That's all i can think of. ill be back with more later -
yea i lean mostly towards alternative metal/nu metal and thrash, but i ? wit a lil of everything..
heres some more
Killswitch Engage -
Thanks alot ouceman. I vaguely remember some of those bands' names even if I don't remember their songs. Watching wrestling as a kid into my teenage years is what got me into Rock. And Nu-Metal does seem to define my taste the most... which would explain why I would argue that Linkin Park is the GOAT band. Controversial opinion, I know, but that's my taste. I'm definitely about to check up on those bands though.
@GRIP, good look on that Weezer -
Those band are my favorite too, but some one introduce me in some different kind of music called instrumental like Joe Satriiani and now I really loved to listen to this kind of music.

I'm an old school Rock guy.
That being the case, here. Classic.

I'll drop some of my favourite Rock songs right now (that haven't already been posted):
The third one is Chris Jericho's band... it's actually a really awesome song.
I'll add more if I can think of them/if needs be
