As it crawls up to its eleventh year Sony's PlayStation 2 has racked up another sales landmark as it's announced the console has just shipped 150 million units.
Sony's official announcement came accompanied by some other eye-swelling stats – the PlayStation 2 can boast a library of 10,828 games, and it's shifted 1.52 billion units of software since the system launched in Japan in March 2000.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains the top seller, having sold some 17.33 million copies as of February 2009.
The PlayStation 2's successor has a little catching up to do, with the PS3's worldwide sales standing at 47.9 million as of December 31 2010.
