Per YAHOO Sports:

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed in principle to acquire Washington Wizards guard Kirk Hinrich(notes), league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Hawks will receive Hinrich and center Hilton Armstrong(notes) from the Wizards for point guard Mike Bibby(notes), forward Maurice Evans(notes), guard Jordan Crawford(notes) and a first-round draft pick.

The Wizards were intrigued by Crawford during last year’s draft and valued getting a first-round pick. Bibby, who has one year at $6.2 million left on his contract after this season, could be used in a future trade.

Hinrich, 30, is a valued combo guard and a strong perimeter defender. He’s averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 assists and will make $8 million next season.

In addition to looking for an upgrade at point guard, the Hawks also wanted to add size, which they did with Armstrong.

I like this move as they now get a live body in the back court. Hilton Armstrong has proven himself to be nothing but a ? , so they still need a legit starting Center. They are by no means a contender but it is a step in the right direction IMO.
