Well theres a lot of Bulls fans who been waiting for some notoriety since Jordan left....they sorta have their moment so they gonna go for it....its weird tho cause LeBron kinda took himself out of contention for MVP by joining with Wade and the Thunder been underachieving so Durant not getting as much love so that kinda leaves Rose by default considering his team still winning with important pieces nursing injuries....so realisitically his stats arent mind blowing but given the fact that he is the leading MVP candidate by default, that inevitably yields his overrating imo...

Rose is putting up great numbers on a good team in a year when the two best players in NBA decided to play with each other. So to fill that void of the anti-Lebron, Rose is taking that space, while it was Durant last year, and CP3 the year before.

Like yrholla said, its by default.

I have seen Rose only play one really great game this year, and that was the San Antonio game. Every time I see, which is pretty often but not every game its usually. 10-24 30 pts 8 assists. His moves are sick though, I give him that, and he is not shy of a big moment, though I havent seen him hit any GW's ever.

Let me say also, I think what irks, people like myself, is that we all have seen other players have years like this, but for some reason Rose's year is like some huge thing to the national media.

He is a great player and deserves credit, I just dont think personally a 3rd year player with very good stats on the 3rd best team in his conference should be an MVP. Candidate? of course, he and his team are playing well.

But I think the MVP should go to proven players, which I dont think Rose is, YET. Give me one more great year.

LMAO @ this ? . For one thing 8 assists is not bad at all especially when you lead the league in scoring amongst point guards. For two, yea you're right wade has sooooo much less around him playing with a top 5 player in the league who can take the attention off him every single damn game. You also failed to mention that ? /noah haven't even been healthy the majority of the year and they're still one game out of first place. Not to mention the fact that rose is in his THIRD year and hes playing the most important position in the nba. On top of that he has a great attitude, he's selfless, and he's not a "pay attention to me" player in a league of ? who are all about that. But your right though, I don't see why everyones riding him so hard either...

MVP not a lifetime achievement award. its the most valuable player for THAT YEAR. nobody has been more valuable to their team's success as Derrick Rose

ohhh maybe win a playoff series, or two. Another great year. He is an elite talent but I cant put him in elite category yet, especially considering Paul and Durant had the same years in 08 and 09.

no it was to say Wade had great year for a winning team, I think it was said Wade had great numbers but his teams sucked.

pretty good??? He leads the league in scoring amongst players @ his position and is top 10 in assists. On top of that his team is one game out of 1st place when 2 of the best players on his team have been out the majority of the year. Thats pretty good? Most VALUABLE PLAYER, not best stats ever

What does it matter how many years a person is in the league for, there is no other player outshining him this year
