With the exception of RVD and the Dudleys. It seems like everyone else was a jobber.

out of spite. he hated the ecw brand, and felt like most of the ecw rasslers were talentless. so he treated them like the ? they were in his eyes. he did the same thing with most of the wcw rasslers because he was bitter out them almost putting him out of business.

a lot of those guys had too many injuries (dreamer)
some were just too small to be taken seriously in WWF (tazz)
and many of them were just plain ol' jobbers who couldn't get heat without Heyman's support -

Well to be fair Rhyno had a brief push -
it's a combination of everyone's response.
Vince didn't create those guys. He hated the fact that these little dudes were household names already based out of a small venue and region. He couldn't do anything for them already that hadn't been done, except ? on them.
They were all too small. If you watch the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD, when they (WWF) was looking at the ECW talent while ECW was probably 1.5 out of the top 3 company's, the first thing they noticed was that they were all too short. Vince prefers his dudes to be 6'5 and 265, minimum.
In a way Vince did make money off the acquisition because they ended up creating Smackdown with the influx of talent. Dudes like Lil ? got some run. Rhino was a multi time ? Champion, the same with Raven. The obvious standout stars from ECW lasted the longest because they had bankable gimmicks.
As for their careers, once OVW started churning out their talent, ex-WCW and ECW dudes were out the door.
