Real Talk I'm sick of this ? being praise as a good comedian I watched Grown Ups the other day and he was horrible in that ? and to think he was the only black guy and the other white comedians ? on him and I don't want to get started on his Stand up acts I get more laughs watching ICarly than anyone of his live performances.

Top 5 GOAT Comedians.

1.George Lopez
2.Dave Chapelle
3.Chris Tucker
4.Steve Carell
5.Will Smith

First of all, In Grown Ups I was ? off because he played the background in that movie!
In movies where he is featured as a co-star he always plays the background. Now from a standup
perspective, I believe Chris Rock is one of the best, because of not only the issues he tackles
but he makes us laugh about it! One of a few comedians that has found success doing that, two
of which are on your list.

But from a movie perspective, I'm split on them! Head of State was ill, I didn't care much for
Pootie Tang, Good Hair I thought was an excellent docu, and he of course was known for his
movies New Jack City, Boomerang, CB4, etc! His recent work excluding Good Hair I really don't
    care for.

So Chris Rock is a hit or miss for some of his movies/standups.

Another thing, Will Smith is really not classified a comedian, but he is mostly in comedies tho!

Chris Rock has his own brand of comedy that a lot of people find amusing, me being one of them. It's no different than George Lopez who has his own brand of comedy and I'm not a fan of it. Richard Lewis is the same way, as is Dennis Miller, whereas we both may like it or not like it. It depends on the person watching it and whatever comedy makes you laugh.

Grown-Ups was a family movie to me, little to no conflict, the jokes were relatively tame considering the actors in it, and a sappy ending. Unless you have an R-rated comedy where they can't be censored and can say whatever they want, don't expect much.

Chris rock shines as standup - his material never gets old cause he make fun of current events. Other comedians talk about the same ? after a while u'll hear the same joke from them.

Chris rock movies on the other hand are never really that funny to me

Kevin hart is a funny dude

my hate for Carlos Mencia is only deepened by my love of comedy. He reminds me of the Black Eyed Peas in that they think they are edgy and special when they just suck

As already stated in this thread, Chris Rock the stand up comic and comedic actor are two different things.

I wasnt a fan of his last stand up, but his resume is still GOAT material.
