Like he said either VCU deserved to be in the tournament or they didn't in his eyes, based off their regular season resume....he doesn't think they deserved to be in the tournament(like a lot of other people). What they are doing in the tournament at the moment has nothing to do with them deserving a bid or not. -

Like he said either VCU deserved to be in the tournament or they didn't in his eyes, based off their regular season resume....he doesn't think they deserved to be in the tournament(like a lot of other people). What they are doing in the tournament at the moment has nothing to do with them deserving a bid or not.
nah, he's not totallly wrong. he has about about them being deserving of the bid, but i can't say that they are winning every game b/c teams are taking them lightly. If you are a halfway decent college team and can consistently hit 3's when it matters, you can hang with most any team in the country. -

He not 100% when he saying teams taking them lightly though..... he has a point with them being there in the first place, but he shouldnt totally discredit what they're doing now with teams taking them easy... -
i've been tellin people for months now to watch out for VCU, so I just think they are a good team, not that these teams are overlooking them. remember the same group that allowed VCU in, erroneously as some would argue, is the same group that is seeding these other teams, so you can't put alot of stock in calling some of the wins 'upsets'

Well yea, I don't agree with teams taking them lightly being the reason for their victories, ? is just mad that he probably had them losing in their first game. -

we argued about this before. its 50/50 imo. did they do enough to get in the tourny during the regular season/conference tourny?? no. but for some reason, the committee saw somethin there & decided to give them an at-large bid. so iight now they're in, but somewhat controversial. it's up to them to prove to everybody that they belong, and thats exactly what they did -

if a team doesnt make the tournament, its all on them. maybe if VCU didnt take L's to northeastern & south florida (big east bottomfeeder) there would be no discussion -

The NCAA hates this bs. They need their top schools in there to get the pub and commercial money they really want. Butler? VCU? Playing Against each other??? That is a Panic attack for real. It has it's bright side, but that is not on the NCAA's mind at the moment.
