Boy can rap his ass off, haven't heard a bad tape from him yet either. But its obvious he's a rap classical guy. I think he could have blown the hell up of he showed up earlier than he did....

Around the time when ? like Onyx, Wu Tang, etc were hot, yeah. His ? YOU attitude is perfect for that early 90's era.

It's ? up that people wanna shy away from the real to praise these corny, soft ? -

Gibbs is an amazing talent but he just isn't getting any play, all that era ? irrelevant if you aren't getting any play.

freddie gibbs is dope
-
Early 90's probably would've been better for him
Just saw him on Carson Daly's late night show last night and I still think he'll have a nice career.
Might work his was slowly to gold like Common and have a strong following. -

NO imo... neither would Nas or Jay-Z.. of course someone gonna come in here talking about how both Nas and Jay started off with modest sales. But in this climate, none of those dudes would have blown -

most definitely! i always felt like dudes like him, jay electronica, little brother and cole are in the wrong era.
he killed this ? right here -

Yeah, Jay definitely not. Nas would get hella respect, but the masses wouldn't pick up on him. But yeah, if a rapper with the kind of story and emotion that Pac had couldn't blow these days, ? like Gibbs is pretty much ? ... -
Ion think they in the wrong era though. They make ? people still need and want to hear. But their kinda music isn't the industry priority right now, so they'll never get that real push unless they make some ? that's hot currently or the people make it happen...

I meant era in the mainstream but yeah you're right.... Im just thinking 10/15 years ago, Gibbs could have been moving millions of units. He making dope music, but it is what it is -

i think he woulda really moved millions in say circa 02-04, back when gangsta rap was at it's commercial peak.
