The Godfather
Don Vito dies a peaceful death while playing with his grandson. Michael takes over as the Don and ends the movie with business as usual.
The Godfather II
Michael has beat the system, is still in power and all is business as usual by the end of the movie. -
In too Deep(It was based on a Boston cop,and the guy he was trying to take down was actually nicknamed ? and his henchmen were called his Angels). The cop lives and takes down ? . Happy Ending.

That's what I was thinking. Even the Godfather III didn't end that bad. It looked like Michael died of old age as a free man. I mean that may not be a happy ending, but it's not exactly a sad one either. -

yea......that cop that movie was based on committed suicide 8 years later because of the severe paranoia he felt from being deep undercover his entire career. -

His daugher died because of HIM. His son despised HIM. His wife despised & divorced HIM. He was in shambles over the guilt of killing Fredo. The family was on its way to ruin, which he knew it would be, once he gave it to Vinny.
Did you even watch the movie? -
^^lol yea, there was a reason i stopped at part II

Michael died alone and having lost all the important people in his life...that's not happy at all -

Yeah, I watched it. I thought about most of that stuff, but to be honest, compared to the way most of the movies end, the fact that he lived that long is still a relatively good ending. Like I said. It wasn't a happy ending, but it wasn't a sad one either. Considering most gangster movies end with the gangster dying in pretty heinous ways.
