So yesterday I saw on the news a local story about a 1yr who was left in a truck for an undisclosed amount of time in 100 degree weather. When they found her she was dead. Someone tried to give her CPR while the ambulance came but it was too late .

This is soooo horrible. That poor little girl overheating and not having a clue what is going on. It truely breaks my heart.

What is an appropriate punishment for the parents ? I mean can it get any worse than murdering your own child... they have to live with that for the rest of their lives. At the same time I'd be okay with them rotting in jail. It still doesn't seem like enough......

I understand forgetting your phone or wallet or keys or whatever

but your CHILD ????????

I can't even imagine that .......

    the ? ???
any ? that leaves their child in a hot ass car is negligent and doesn't deserve reproductive organs
don't care who it is or the circumstances
if the child can't come into wherever you're going, leave them at home. make provisions for child care.

For real, none of us know the circumstances. Mistakes happen, some are bigger than others, but they happen.

    ummm

but we do know the child was left in the car alone on the hotest day of the year and she died due to heat exhaustion

not sure what other facts can really make a difference in what happened

and yes mistakes happen ... but this isn't like the parents forgot a dr appointment or forgot to change her diaper

Playboy aint no circumstance that can make this instance a mistake B. Everyone know that if the AC is not on it is hotter inside that car than it is outside of that car. And aint no way a 1 year old was going to think you know it's pretty ? hot in here let me open up this window. As a person who has fought for 3 1/2 years to see his kids these type of people disgust me B.

Really though? Someone is actually trying to justify this?
No, these kinds of "mistakes" don't just happen.

Why anyone would leave a child that young alone in the car for any amount of time is beyond me.

Stop being lazy and take that child with you. PERIOD.

alot of the stories i hear its usually an adult who isnt used to having the child (grandmother, aunt, uncle...etc)

they go about their daily routine and forget theyve got the baby (babies can fall asleep and be quiet as a mouse)

so very tragic though. i used to worry when my sons mom would let her mother watch our son

she's a busybody and is always on her cellphone and running around town. i never felt comfortable.

Word. Y'all acting like all the parents it has happened to were monsters or some ? . It's irresponsible, sure, but it could happen to anybody if they are immersed in a situation or having stressful times.
