1 MVP(which was great season by clearly Paul deserved it more. Voters admitted it was a lifetime achievement award)
2004 KG was CLEARLY the best Player in the league.
05' Was one of the worst of kObes career. Shaq was clearly better and a few others
06-08- best player in the game. No question. -

Coo, you one of the smartest ? in the reason but u REALLY think Kobe was better then KG in 2004? He was undisputed best player in the league
-
Coo Coo Cal's Beanie wrote: »LOL u wanna mention 1 mvp as if he didnt deserve more than 1. Nash and Dirk should be stripped of their MVPs. 2004 Kobe still was the best in the league deferring to Shaq, due to the triangle offense. Kobe was hurt in 05 (plantar fasciitis, but he was still the best player in the league), just struggled wit injury.
I don't care if he was hurt, by that logic CP3 was the best PG in the game this year. Shaq was the best Player in the league in 05', even Timmy was better that year. -

ROFL@That ? who said 90s SG and era was weaker than today's era willing to bet he is younger than 25.
lol Cashville was funny as hell -
Best player in the game
00-Shaq
01-Shaq

05-Shaq
06-Kobe
07-Kobe

So 3 out of 10. Can't Be the GOAT -
Kevin Garnett - Minnesota 82 82 39.4 .499 .256 .791 13.9 5.0 1.5 2.2 24.2
Kobe Bryant - L.A. Lakers 65 64 37.6 .438 .327 .852 5.5 5.1 1.7 .4 24.0
It wasn't that far off my ? . Neck & neck. The Lakers had Shaq, Kobe, Payton & Malone that year. -

Fixed for you. -
So trading shaq made Kobe the best in 04' lol,(in which he had one of the worst finals performances in history) I'm sorry ANYONE being better then KG in 2004 is classic revionist history.
The best player in any particular year is based on there production THAT year.Coo Coo Cal's Beanie wrote: »After making 4 straight finals appearances the Lakers traded the most dominant center ever because they knew they had the best player in the NBA and he was being held back by the offensive system they ran.
lol bruh ur missing the point. If Kobe has a season ending injury it doesnt mean his skills diminished. It means he's unable to play for the rest of the season, and thats exactly what happened. -
Fixed for you.
Lol at using PPG to say ai/tmac/Kobe were better inthose years., shaq was a better player in 01' and Timmy was the best in 03'
Tim Duncan 2003 is one of the best individual seasons in history. He beat the shaq and Kobe Lakers By HIMSELF, and had one of the GOAT finals performances -
Kevin Garnett - Minnesota 82 82 39.4 .499 .256 .791 13.9 5.0 1.5 2.2 24.2
Kobe Bryant - L.A. Lakers 65 64 37.6 .438 .327 .852 5.5 5.1 1.7 .4 24.0

so it's either stats are important or the impact and the timing of certain individual moments that should determine greatness

You really believe that was the best defense ever? -

True that, dam the pistons fell of though. He wasn't all time great in any of the other finals either so it is what it is. You can't be goat when your not the best on the biggest stage. -

2008-2009 stats
Lebron: 27pts on 49%FG, 7asts, 9freethrows/7made
Kobe: 27pts on 47%FG, 5asts, 6freethrows/5made
Lebron got to the conference finals and his stats compared to kobe are
Lebron James....48.7% FG, 3pt 29%, 74.5% FT
Kobe Bryant.........48.1% FG, 3pt 34%, 93.1% FT
Lebron James....48 ast, 25 turnovers, 1.9 Assist/Turnover ratio
Kobe Bryant........ 35 ast, 13 turnovers, 2.7 Assist/Turnover ratio
Lebron used 73 possessions to create 48 assists... a success rate of 66%
Kobe used 48 possessions to create 35 assists... a success rate of 73%
As usual Kobe was vastly underrated in his court game which was better than Lebron's who is more recognized for his. add in Lebron choking away games and Kobe killing in the clutch as usual that year and its at the very minimum easy to believe Kobe was the best player that year. -

Since the first 3 peat Kobe has faced tougher competition in the finals with less help might I add than anyone else you might want to prop up. All time defenses that double triple teamed him and zoned. The league had to change the rules because of the 2004 Pistons. 09 was the first time post Shaq that he didnt face one of those all time defenses in the finals. Who was better than Kobe in the 09 finals? -

There's like 15 better finals performances then Kobe In 09' probably not top 3 from his decade. -
Lebron OWNED 2009, he was a beast all year leading his team to 60+'wins with mo as his number 2. His series against Orlando was epic also
-
He hasn't had a legendary finals series yet, the closest was 09'.

name the ones from this decade -
Coo Coo Cal's Beanie wrote: »Go look at the numbers. It was the best defense ever. They had the longest run in NBA history holding teams under 100 pts. Teams rarely reached 90 against them. They beat a 3peat champion in 5 games and had 0 HOF players on their roster.
I wasn't saying they weren't plus playing defense is harder in this era cause. U can't put your hands on anybody. The best defenses I ever saw with my eyes were the 92 knicks, 96 bulls and 03 pistons.
