Yeah me too. I'm not old or anything tho but yeah that's pretty much me. I've seen to many fake ppl do and say phony ? so before i know someone i kinda analyze them and their behavior..once i see they cool ppl..i open up. -

I can stand ? who be cool with every damn body..like ? you don't dislike anyone? them the ppl who end up gettin stuck the worst tho cuz they get friendly with everybody but you don't know everybody's agenda. they might be some fake ass ? who'll get you stuck. -

some people are too open. i have friends like that. then when the situation back fires its too late, you already gave to much info. -
Personality Trait
It can be supressed to a certain extent, but it's something that doesn't just go away when you get older.
I'm not shy, but I'm often disinterested or nonchalant and people may misread it as shyness.... and I don't do a good job feigning interest unless a reward is involved (money or maybe ? ). -

back in my wild days we used to let people be friendly and tell us everything about them and then we get to talkin bout what you got in yo house, how much money you got
friendly ? dont pay attention to caonversation, they talkin about themselves so much but aint hearing nothin from us

You make small talk. Talk about the weather, ask them if theyve seen the latest movie, what team theyre rooting for and why. i mean i'd hope that eventually SOMETHING they you'd have an opinion on.

small talk isnt "being fake". small talk is more of a social pleasantry than anything else, as opposed to just standing there like a terminator. -

I agree with what you're saying but it really depends on the situation. For example: while I can be the one making small talk to fit in, they can also make an active attempt to add me into the discussion. It goes both ways. Some people don't even attempt to make the new person feel welcome or comfortable. -

I was just giving a reason as to why someone might be shy/quiet while around a group of people. -
I'm not "shy", I am however laid back and observant. I take in my surroundings and get a feel for what is going on. That might come off as me being quiet at first but I have no problem holding conversations and getting involved in group discussions provided I feel comfortable. I'm not a social butterfly in the least bit but hold my own in group dynamics although I prefer small groups/1 on 1.
