Y2K bug crapped my PS3

When the leap year time change thing happened my PS3 kept working I didn't go online because I heard it wasn't safe yet, then about a week later my PS3 just shut down....the ? isn't even giving me a blue light it's just green...I'm so blown my Madden and Modern Warfare legacy are in jeopardy......Does anybody have any similar stories or know how to transfer saved data to another PS3???
