Full ? In Boots Trailer Arrives
And there's a new poster too...

The teaser trailer has been around for a couple of months now, but we’re finally getting the chance to see some actual footage from ? in Boots, which charts the early years of Shrek’s feline sidekick. You can check out the new promo below.
Featuring the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis among others, ? definitely looks to be keeping the spirit of the Shrek films, albeit shoe-horning in a lot more kitty comedy. But it really does look like a lot of fun, with Banderas’ charismatic tones matched by some solid gags and the promise of enjoyable action.
The plot is also referenced this time around, with ? – who likes to portray himself as a hero despite some questionable morals – on a quest to stop two villains (Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris) getting their hands on a powerful magical item. Naturally, he wants to steal it for himself. But he’ll need the help of pal Humpty Dumpty (Galifianakis) while also dealing with the quick-witted, street-savvy Kitty (Hayek).
Oh, and the new, Desperado-spoofing poster has arrived at the same time...

Scene-stealing cat ? -In-Boots has his own movie now with, er, ? -In-Boots, and it's shaping up rather well. We've liked the trailer and loved the spoof ads, and now there are some spiffy new character banners to add to the mix, for Antonio Banderas' ? himself, Salma Hayek as Kitty, and Zach Galifianakis' Humpty Alexander Dumpty.
This is, of course, a prequel to the Shrek films, showing ? ' solo adventures before he started hanging out with the big ogre and his donkey friend. In it, he's up against the villainous Jack (Billy Bob Thornton) and Jill (Amy Sedaris) in a mission involving the Goose that lays the golden eggs and an ancient power that could destroy the world. ? . He'll also be trying to make the catchphrase "Holy Frijoles" happen.
? In Boots is out on December 9 here in the UK.
