I'm watching the NFL Network and they are replaying John Elway's "The Drive" but I can't help but think about the fact that Denver got stomped by the Giants in the Super Bowl...so I'm wondering, what moments lose their significance or luster since the player or team and their series and or season ended with an L?
A couple come to mind:
Kobe's Game 4 winner in 2006 against the Suns
LeBron's Game 2 winner in 2009 against the Magic
Carlton Fisk and his home run in Game 6 of the 75 World Series
Dave Henderson 1986 ALCS Game 5 vs Donnie Moore
Albert Pujols 2005 NCLS vs Brad Lidge

they lost the series. -

That moment has been outweighed by the fact that he lost the series, and Lebron's subsequent softness as a player ever since. -
This is going to be interesting............

Christian laetner shot when duke won the ncaa finals in 1991. It was great but ESPN act like it was the greatest college shot ever

in reality nobody got dunked on...no bulls player was at the rim...they were swiping at it from the side -

the bolded ended with Donnie shooting his wife (didn't end up killing her tho) and then him committing suicide with his son watching. crazy -
Jordan's shot over Ehlo??? Or am I crazy....

Nah that Kobe shot had me lifted.

Jordan hit that shot and crushed the whole arena's soul. Definatly not an over rated moment.
But since we're on the subject of Jordan. His "from the freethrow" dunk was over rated as an actual moment. But not over rated as a whole because it ended up being his shoe trademark. One of the most well known symbols in the country (world maybe?). But the actual dunk itself? MEH! -
Looks like Horace Grant got dunked on to me....and the fact that the Knicks lost the series did hurt this one
-
Overrated and it should have been an offensive foul.......excuse the 50 cent
-
And FTW we have the Patriots 2007 season.
Going 18-0 and then losing to the Giants in the Superbowl.

For me it's the Iverson crossover on Jordan. People act like Jordan fell on his ass and Iverson went in for a dunk. In reality Jordan reached and quickly recovered and damn near blocked Iverson's jump shot.

Jordan switching hands vs. the lakers
-
man they overblew Curt Shillings ? sock. to this day I feel it was fake
Dirks flu game -
I think you crazy. Jordan snatched that ? soul with that shot. the whole arena was energized. Elo hit that huge shot they thought they'd finally won it.

THis is a good one. I always thought that was a w/e dunk. -

At the time I thought, ? just tape that ? up, and you good.

I disagree with Lettners shot. that ? was clutch and in the tourney. -
So Jordans free throw dunk was overrated.
? do you know how high up Jordan got? Jordan's face was parallel to the rim. HIS ? FACE WAS PARALLEL TO THE RIM. That means the ? could have easily dunked an 11ft goal
