Four new surround sound headsets co-developed by Infinity Ward
When playing a first person shooter, especially one as cinematic as a Call of Duty game, proper audio delivery is a must. Set to be released just in time for the launch of Modern Warfare 3, Turtle Beach has announced a new line of officially licensed gaming headsets, co-developed with Infinity Ward, offering a variety of features and prices.
At the head of the pack, you can find the Ear Force Delta, sporting wireless functionality 7.1 surround sound, in addition to a specially-themed carrying case and comes pre-loaded with Modern Warfare 3 presets and voice prompts. All of this can be yours for $299.95.
Next up is the Ear Force Charlie, a wired option that pushes out 5.1 surround sound from eight amplified speakers with a $129.95 price tag.
Featuring the same presets as the Delta, the Ear Force Bravo delivers universal wireless audio, sans surround sound, for $149.95.
Lastly, the more frugal gamers can look forward to the Ear Force Foxtrot. This wired option provides high-fidelity amplified audio and can be picked up for $99.95.
The Turtle Beach: MW3 line of headsets will be available in October, adequate time to get comfortable with the equipment before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ships in November. -
