My problem with 102 is that it was all over the place. ? had no direction. Plus lots of the tracks were over-produced. Case in point: 3AM. Timbaland tends to do that a lot. The hooks were pretty solid. But 102 is the album where Jeezy thought it was OK to just randomly not actually rhyme on some songs. Lol. ? is hilarious. Still, it's not a BAD album. But clearly his worst, to me.

TM101 - Telling the story of the hustler. First album I can think of to have the theme of coke and the drug game and stick with it throughout the whole album. Even Trap Muzik didn't do that. ? had gritty production with dope hooks.

The Recession - Jeezy tried ( and did a good job of) switching it up and getting political, but still doing it from the perspective of the D-Boy. The recession ? everybody, citizens and street ? alike, was the message. More sophisticated production and better replay value.

maybe 102 was the party/i like trappin side (j.e.e.z.y., 3am, u know what it is, i got money, i luv it) and the paranoia/conscious side (bury me a g, dreamin, the realest) of the dope boy lifestyle

    I gotta agree with the Recession being >> 102 & 101.

    BUT

    I dont think 102 >

Matter fact .. I'm looking for that "Biggest fall off from debut to next Album" thread .
Jeezy wasn't even rapping (as in not rhyming words) on some of The Inspiration songs.

Imo The Inspiration wasn't all that good, with the exception of J.E.E.Z.Y., I Luv It, Dreamin, Go Getta and I Got Money.

I can say this u can see the growth from 101 to the Recession and thats what we wanna see in rap. Nobody wants to see a ? rapping the same way on three albums. But my personal favorite is 102. Not taking away from 101 or Recession thats just i luv 102. Hypnotize is like one of dopest Jeezy songs EVER to me.
