the album leaked 9/1/09. released on 9/6/09-9/11/09. 6 months since its impact how are u ? feeling about this album?

i trashed bp3 when it was released namely on the strength of that audio ? move called DOA. one of the biggest publicity stunts in hip hop in 2009. jay z bamboozeled the masses into believing that autotune is evil because his records werent coming out right with autotune. (kanye confirmed this). not only did he railroad t-pain's career but he promised to bring out grimy records in the process. i thought "hmmmmm...if anyone could bring back hoodie raps it could be jay z". boy was i wrong. the next song to leak off bp3 was run this town. already showing weak lyricism on DOA jay z rides this beat awkwardly with barely audible murmurs and that ? awful *auh* sounds. the track only gets buzz because of 5head reappearance since CB whooped her ass. suprisingly Kanye steals the show and murders Jay z on yet another track

the rest of the album is misses the target of jay z's proposed "progession". if anything at best this album was a rehash of tired concepts that were currently going on in 2009. jay z's main topics on bp3-money, cars, self gratification. 2009 hip hop main topics-the same. i didnt hear the new sound of hip hop that Jay Z promised. if he was talking about the euro style production gorilla zoe released a techno rap album months earlier and will i am made the same type of music on BEP End album. so that couldnt be "new". i think the progress that jay z was speaking on of his sad innate ability to jump on whatever is hot at the moment because he is uncomfortable in exploring his own creativity. instead of letting his star power speak for himself on his album he needed ? on every song to make bp 3 what it was. the homewrecking ? lends her ? vocals on New York State of Mind pt. 4. drake dropped another forgettable ? hook on "off that". mr hudson sounds weak, uninspired, and disconnected from the forever young track. jeezy kills jay z on his own ? also. pharell must of been on drugs when he made that garbage hook for so ambitious. its like bp3 is a compliation of mismatch collabos. jay z exposes himself for lack of personal hooks on the album. not a good thing if you consider yourself an influental artist.

the only strong points of the album lie in thank you and hate. thank you reminds me of that classy rocafella sound. he almost sounded like the 97 hov. he sounds confident and comfortable on the track. he controls his word play well and the track is banging. hate is a personal favorite because it sounds like jay z and kanye were having fun experimenting on a track. hate was different from all the other songs on the album because jay z was trying something new.

overall the album is still garbage. i really want to be fair and give jay z a decent grade because of his longevity in the game but the album is ? . it was a pop album. whites friendly. cut and dry jew machine manufactured hip hop by the so called GOAT rapper. i expected more depth and growth with jay z. 2009 was one of the worst years in recent memory for the world as a whole. 2009 sucked and jay z failed to discuss anything from that year that was relevant to the average person life. the recession effects the same consumers that spend their hard earned money for his overpriced bad seat tickets and weak album and all he said it was too depressing to talk about. jay z brightened up the mood by letting us know were not ? because we are still wearing audemar watches and drinking crystal. he brought back hope in the community by bringing out illuminati she devil oprah to brooklyn for an photo op. this album didnt capture the times and climate of the hip hop world like blueprint 1 did and there fore i rate the album garbage because i expected alot more quality from one of the biggest tools in the music industry.

    Blueprint 3=1.25/5

The only person that will be a legend from an active status in hip hop right now is Kanye West.

legend is a prestigous word. the last legend in hip hop was 2pac. I dont even consider Nas and Jay Z legends yet. j cole wont be a legend. drake wont be a legend. def not buddens. a legend brings something to the game and expands it and the only person that has done that in the last 10 years is Kanye.

    - amazing cause ODB just be rambling like a muthafucka but he's still spittin

    - amazing that it didn't cause Cop Killer/Marshall Mathers LP level controversy considering the ? 's cryin about ? and killing a chick on the intro

    - amazing that this same album went GOLD and got mad MTV and Radio luv

    - album cover, amazing obviously

co sign strongly with all your points especially #1

snakes is a disgusting filthy cold bitter beat. genius work by the RZA

killarmy silent weapons is underated also. too many bangers on that album. that was my 10th grade ? . i liked the whole dark mission like vibe of the album. i used to think beretta 9 and islord were dope on the whole album. masta killa rips that 5 stars to shreds. i think its possibly one of his greatest verses
