yeah its dead but they resurrect it as a zombie....it bad because all the movies are bad remakes....or new movies that are too focused on BS CGI and SFX instead of worrying about the plot and conveying the story and making the story believable or and least kinda feasible ya know...its like yeah my plot sucks but look at all the fake blood look at the computer generator monster...and the way they present the effects are mad cliche as well...its like they are doing the same ? as the 80s it just looks better....also it's a known fact that u cant have superstars in ur horror flick...u can only have unknown actors because the "horror" should be the main character...i wanna see the crazy ? not jessica beil playing a ? when she clearly let me hit..............in my mind....but yeah horror is on its death bed like commercial hip hop

    The Decent series

    Rec 2

    Carriers

Pontypool is one of the worst movies i've ever seen. "Infected words" that ? was horrible.

it's not dead, Rob Zombie been keepin that ? afloat by himself with 4 straight horror classics and contrary to popular belief the remakes are mostly on point, the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead and The Hill Have Eyes was ill, last year we had Friday the 13th reboot that was dope and Last House on the Left among others, this year Nightmare on Elm Street looks on point.

there were some good original horror movies last year too, Mirrors with Kiefer Sutherland by the guy that brought you High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes.. Jennifer's Body was nice to me, My ? Valentine 3-D was good..

All due respect, if you wanted to prove that the horror genre was still alive, you should have picked some better movies...

Rob Zombie? The only good movies he made was The Devil's Rejects and The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto...

    HHE was garbage...
High Tension was just Gore Porn, Mirrors.... Mirrors...? Mirrors... The best part of that movie was seeing that chick rip her jaw in half...

Jennifer's Body would have been good if it was actually as scary as the idea of The Jennifer Character.... She had some wild ass lines tho.... even in death....

what?? House of 1000 Corpses is easily one of the best horror movies to come out last decade, that ? is classic. Halloween and H2 were both 100% dope. what were you watching? HHE was garbage??? High Tension was just gore porn? these are some of the best horror films to come out in decades IMO. you're right Jennifer's Body wasn't scary, but it was original and entertaining as hell.. we'll have to agree to disagree, completely. and then you say Orphan? c'mon man.

i gotta just wonder why Rob Zombie doesn't get the props he deserves. to me Halloween 2 was a masterpiece and it was ? on by most everyone. hardly any horror films that have come out in YEARS can compare to H2.

I wouldn't really call it a Remake.... Have you seen the original?

Pontypool was good, the tension could be cut with a knife... Not to mention the Main Character had the perfect voice for radio... They did a great job picking him.... reminds me of Paul Harvey...
Yes the general idea of infected words is stupid... But other then that what else was there to dislike?

idk maybe i was expecting something different from the movie. But i was watching and i felt like it was being built up and built up and then disappointed with the infected words thing and it was alot of talking and explanation and not much else.

it's a film called Dead Air where it takes place in a radio and it's kinda like Pontypool except it's not infected words and they actually go outside at some points. I liked it. I saw Dead Air first so i guess i was expecting something similar to it.

to me halloween 2 is one of the worst horror remakes lol. It was too much stupid ? in it for me. Dreaming of unicorns, Michael Myers with a big long ass santa beard, the way they made Dr. Loomis this greedy author making money off the story was too far from the original dr. loomis character to me.

Horror movies have fallen off not to many original ideas. I love horror movies from the 80s even if they are cheesy predictable slashers or zombies vampire movies. The remakes are horrible....Rob Zombie remade halloween with a hillbilly spin..its like a black dude remaking halloween putting in the spin that mike meyers mom was a ? ? a black dude with ? had mike meyers who is secretly mulatto find out he has ? and kills his own family and somehow lives with it for 10 plus years and tries to ? off the rest of his family because he is bitter their is no cure. Devils reject was whack to....REC 2 was pretty good IMO...some people are easily entertained by movies I honestly think the qualities of movies fell off 10-11 years ago.

it wasn't a remake, Myers dreamed/hallucinated a White Horse which is very symbolic, i didn't notice he had a beard at all since they didn't show his face but if he did it makes sense since he was roaming around like a ? for a year, and the character development of Dr. Loomis was interesting and realistic, his greedy actions which disclosed the real identity of Lorie was central to the story.
