They both have their advantages but what’s worse? A society that says ? you if you don’t make or a society where you can’t get ahead of everyone else?

Capitalism does make people compete for rewards that does improve the lives of others. That’s motivation to be the best.

Socialism would help people out with all the wealthy people in this country but if it was a socialist country from the beginning the wealth of the US wouldn’t be anywhere close to what it is now.

IMO capitalism is worst, it gives everyone a false hope at first and middle class booms and everyone can buy cars and house, but overtime you see a very small percentage get richer, everyone else drops to poverty or living below average. Eventually captilism will crumble as its starting to do now. Socialism there is still ways around to get rich, its just not as easy as capitalism.

Do you see all the people that defend it like they will reap the benefits one day? It is false hope but their is that chance.

There is a chance but unless your born into or marry into one the elites families the its very hard to hit that class. Theres the lower level that can obtain wealth but the numbers who do compared to those who dont are too much of a difference IMO to stabalize and countries economy. With all that said though im also fine with capitalism it treated me hella good but I still feel like there are people because of their economic status are never able to get it all together to try and pursue the dream.

I thought socialism and capitalism were mutually dependent ideas.

In a given system one cannot exist without the other.
