Back in April of this year, PS3-owning JRPG fans got some great news. First, they found out that Final Fantasy VI would be coming to the PlayStation Network as a PSone Classic in North America. About a week later, similar news broke about Chrono Trigger, which was also deemed PSN-bound for American gamers.

But since the news broke, all has been quiet. Until now, that is. As reported on the PlayStation Blog, both Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger have been dated for their North American PSN premieres. And they will be released the same day, this Tuesday, September 20th. Neither have been priced, but if they are in line with other Square RPG releases on PSN, you can expect them to cost $9.99 each.

Final Fantasy VI is already out on the Japanese and European PlayStation Networks, but Chrono Trigger hasn't come out in either territory on PSN. It's unclear if or when Chrono Trigger will eventually make its way to Europe or Japan as a PSone Classic.
