All those LPs were great
-
Illmatic - Classic
IWW - Classic (the ? was Jay talkin about)
I Am - OK
Nastradamus - Weak
Stillmatic - Classic
? 's Son - Near classic (my fave Nas album outside of the 1st 2)
Streets Disciple - Above average (why people ? on this album)
HHID - OK
Untitled - Near classic
And if were counting Lost Tapes, that was a near classic, if not classic
So, 9 albums in 20 years (17 if you're good at math)... let's say 20, for Jay's sake. 5 were classic/near classic... not counting Lost Tapes and DR. So that's one hot album every 4 years. To put it in perspective, Jay hasn't had a hot album in 4 years... at least to his standards anyway. -

Were not, nor are we counting the albums before 2001.
Again, only based on the last ten years and 5 solo, studio albums. -
Stillmatic (2001) - Classic

-

Aite, so 3 hot albums in 10 years. Thats... a hot album every 3 or so years. Still pretty good if you ask me.
And Jay's side projects aint ? with Nas's side projects, but I won't get into that. -
Stillmatic
Gods son
Lost tapes
All excellent albums
Hhid and streets disciple both average -
"Classic" is being used a lot based on Nas' last ten years of albums. Sounds like a few people believe his last ten years of material since 2001 is better than his first ten?

Stillmatic and The Lost Tapes are classic albums
Gods son and Uninititled are good albums
He was a much better MC 94-97 though. -

Not at all. But not saying those album's aren't good and don't stand the test of time like a classic should. -
Nas can't lose on the IC i swear lmao.

I Am is a near classic and better then all Nas albums in the 00's not named Stillmatic.
Illmatic 10/10
IWW 10/10
I Am.. 9/10
Nastradomus 7/10
Stillmatic 10/10
Gods Son 8/10
HHID 8.5/10
Untitled 8/10 (no replay value whatso ever) -

This.
Simple minds have convinced themselves that Nas only has one (maybe 2) excellent albums. Hell, some folks have even mentioned Illmatic in the dreaded "Classic albums that you don't feel" thread. Complete nonsense. -

I'm with you on this. Nas is in my top 2 based off his first 2 albums, but I haven't been a big fan since IWW. -

This except I Am got a 9.8/10, Untitled got a 9.5 and HHID got a 9 as do ? 's Son. So he got all near classics and actual classics. Also Street's Disciple wasn't bad either. -

Him, Cube and Face's catalogs are second to none....except to eachother.
-
I would rather listen to...
On repeat, than listen to Nas' boring albums, he is so overrated. I can't even play Illmatic without skipping songs.
