Some peeps might say Jay have 3 classics (Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint & American Gangster) against Biggie's 2 classic albums
Jay sold more records than Biggie
& etc
if not, whats keeping Jay back from reaching Biggie
Lets talk about it

Why does Jay-Z bite some many of Big's rhymes? I think ? fail to realize how young Biggie was when he died and Jay was like 3 years older than Big so if you wanna talk about Jay sellin more records we can go to the shoulda, coulda, woulda arguement... If Jay would have been killed at 25 or 26 there would be no Jay-Z...

*not a troll post*
Big isn't on the GOAT list IMO. He's more like a phenomenon that came here for a short while to provide us the blueprint of being a great rapper. His two album and everything in between were timeless, in terms of everything else that was going on during their releases. Everything and everyone at that point gravitated to those albums. No rapper today can do that, make EVERYONE pay attention to a work with the perfect combination of talent and commercial appeal on a scale that Big did. However, the short time and the inability to predict what may have been knocks him off the list. Everyone on the list put in years and more than 2 classic albums. You can make the arguement that Jordan>Bill Russell even though Russell has more rings, but Jordan been in the game more than a decade. Big is more like a ? Bias, an extremely talented dude who could've been the best, but got his time cut short. -

i don't think 12 consecutive #1 records that went on to be platinum can be considered flops -

Of course he outsold Big but Big only put out 2 albums -
i loved big but will never understand how one can be called the goat with only 2 albums

Because New York still worships him and the only real connects that New York really have to Big musically are Jay-Z and Diddy
