Yea I thought theyd be right back. Not as quick but a team like LA or Boston will only be bad for so long until something is pulled within the league to get the most loved franchises back to the top. Not saying Boston needed the leagues help to get KG and Jesus, but the Gasol ? , come on now.

From 99 up until now the Lakers only had 1 bad season where they didnt make the playoffs. From the early 2000s I could see Kobe was gonna be a good player for the Lakers. Kobe work' very hard on his game to become the player he is today. The organization (which is a great one) surrounded Kobe with good players to help the team get to the Finals for the third straight time, second time for the decade they have done a three-peat. Kobe put the Lakers on his back and is leading the team like a leader should.

    GO LAKERS!!!

Ignore the numbers ? lol, they dont lie son. Lebron has a great regulaur season team, his team aint built for the playoffs. Kobe in 05-06 had worst players but come playoff time Lebrons all stars turned into Kobe's flunkies.

Both of the supporting casts are equally ineffective in the playoffs is my main point
Once L.A. was donated Gasol by Memphis, that sealed the deal for them

    ^^^^^^^this^^^^^^^

? had two allstar caliber players and a HOFer. Plus one of his main selling points on how he's supposedly better than Kobe is that "he makes his teammates better".

Lmao... Kobe had kwame, LO and smush outperforming mo, antawn and shaq.

    Call a ? a ? . Kobe can get it done, LeBron can't.

I'm surprised more hasn't been made of the Gasol thing.

I mean...Jerry West, who was once to the Lakers what Kobe is to them now...was (is?) the GM for the Grizzlies at the time of the trade.

The Lakers don't give up any other players, or draft picks...just Kwame Brown?

    18492.gif

they also gave up Marc Gasol, who has proven to be a solid player and a lot tougher than his brother. Also Jerry West had retired already at the time of the trade.

He mightve pulled a few strings lol... But ultimately he had nothing to do with pulling the trigger on that deal. The grizz realized they couldn't win with the team they had and as far as they were concerned, Pau was a salary dump.

Jerry West was retired almost 6 months before that trade happen. So don't bring him up. And the Lakers gave up 2 first round draft picks and Marc Gasol.

Not hard to come back after a lopsided ass trade for Gasol. I applaud the Lakers but that ring last year is starting to look more like KG being injured. Which still doesnt take away the fact they made 3 Finals. I just cant see them getting past the C's.
