I noticed they've pushed Huey (the intelligent, voice of reason) to the back and focus entire episodes on Riley (the ignorant one). The past two episodes Huey barely even spoke.
Its supposed to be a satire but they rarely even have a real message anymore. Essentially they're just dumbing down the program.

Still pretty funny tho...

I said this as soon as Season 3 started. Ya boy is doing what Chapelle wouldn't do
-
man the most recent episode is hilarious...the 1st season mostly revolved around Huey..2nd season was Riley..3rd season is a little of both like the 1st 3 episodes revoled around Huey and the next few around Riley its gettin balanced out
-
funny you mentioned this
the show has definately switched up
and yeah I think they do it for the ratings
kind of the same thing Chappelle went through -
prollie to prove a bigger point... ppl will resoind moreso to the ignorant than the intelligent....
instead of utilizing huey and being preach...
push riley and push the envelope to the point where it's over ? , like southpark....as over the top as it is... u can always tell where they going with it....
only problem is.... blacks often associate that with cooning and get discouraged..often cuz the ? goes right over ppls head....
see chapelle show -
The messages are still being defined.. i you can grasp it you cant grasp it.. there are some episodes that are just funny as hell but even those have messages.. but. its whatever i just dont think some people get it..

yeah, that's usually how it goes. I still miss dave over that ? . But it's cool, they did have a good run and some epic characters.

Its funny, but the program was definetley jumped the shark.
It seems they've sacrificed their original purpose in exchange for cheap laughs.
That episode about LaMilton.....they could have really delivered a powerful message with that, while still being funny. But instead, they just ripped a story from the headlines and ended it with an ode to Juice. -
Y'all ? talkin out your ass. I watched those episodes and dude is just phoning it in. There is very little underlying message with his recent episodes.

South Park oftentimes does an excellent job of delivering a message while keeping the humor there.
Granted, their brand of humor is very very crude, but usually the message is there.
@ playmaker: What was the message in the Lamilton episode. -

the ? moment episode killed it with one line....
when the police officer told him most ? moments end with someone going to jail...

i think the grandmother in the lamilton episode was the message.....
these bad ass kids get so many passes from their parents...it's sickening..by enabling and being passive, they create situations like this all the time
boondocks just often shows the little ? that contributes to bigger problems....,that's what i got from it -

my point is.. people watch to laugh and dont get it alot of the time.. they dont understand they just laugh.. white people black people.. all around.. thats the point im making.. of course its satire.. but some ppl dont get the references.. or what they were going for in most episodes.. its just ? doing comedy to them.. -

Each episode has had a message like the other 2 seasons. Once you get the DVD you will see them. -
he'd dialing it in cause its the last season so why should he do more.
-
Season 3 = ass I gave up after the "Jimmy the rebel" episode

I never have time to watch it....i aint into it
-
mmm... there is a message in the last season of the boondocks...
the reoccurring theme of the show that im getting is "stop talking and just pay attention to the little the little things"
