Rock Hill, S.C. (The Weekly Vice) - Omar Stevenson, a 31-year-old South Carolina man was jailed after he allegedly assaulted a woman with a bowling ball after she refused to let him buy her drinks.
According to the York County Sheriffs Office, Stevenson and a woman were out for a night of bowling when she refused his offer to buy her a drink.
Stevenson argued with the woman at first, but became enraged when the woman continued to refuse his offer. In retaliation, Stevenson allegedly picked up a 12-pound bowling ball and threw it at the woman's head.
Arriving deputies found the 28-year-old woman on the floor bleeding from her forehead. Deputies noted in the arrest report that the woman's skull could be seen through the gaping wound in her head.
Although Stevenson had fled the scene before deputies arrived, witnesses provided them with an account of what happened.
Stevenson, who was picked up a short time later, admitted to losing his temper and assaulting the woman with the bowling ball.
He was booked into jail on a charge of attempted murder.
