I would go with that second option, but depending on the how bad the story is not sure I could tolerate that either. -

depends on how interesting the story is. I played through Def Jam Icon just to see what happened. That game was soooo unbelievably wack, but the story was like a good ass mid 90's straight to VHS hood movie.
