By youth im talking people ages 16-24. And since this is a hip hop forum im comparing rappers, from bacc in the day to now. How come rappers bacc in the day looked way older, mature, dangerous, grimey than rappers nowdays, even tho they are the same age? Did ? bacc then age faster or some ? ?

Heres a pic of ice cube:(Age 21-22)
Ice-Cube35124.jpg

Now heres a pic of tyga (age 22)

tyga-1.jpg

These ? the same age in both the pics, but yet ice cube has a grown man look while tyga looks like a boy.

stress. Back then, those ? were literally fighting for their lives in the ? epidemic. N they ate foods without preservatives. Now, its partying all the time and their biggest worry is getting rejected.

you had to grow up fast back in the days of gangsta rap, gang banging, and the ? epidemic. It's all about environment. The environment required men to be rougher and so they not only adapted mentally but physically as well. Now ? look like they can barely put up their own weight on the bench.

Those are no longer ghettos.. lot of redevelopment/improvement. Compton crime rate is down to its lowest in 17 years and South central is down to its lowest in like 30 years.

when my father was 17 in the early 70's him and all his homies looked 25+
when i was in high school in the late 80's... i was seeing ? age16-17 with full ? hair lookin and carrying themselves as if they were 26+
? was driving souped up el caminos, cadillacs and impalaz to school and ? .

It's just a difference in size seems to me. Ice Cube, 2pac, Big Pun, and the likes were born in 60's-70's. Less processed junk food which is just poison to the system anyway. Mothers ate homecooked natural food back then. Occasional McDonald's outings were the extent of fast food. Soulja Boy and the rest were born 80's and up. Drive thru city. Probably stunted their growth....Just a theory.

lol @ south central n compton no longer being hoods
and you forget that the ? i named grew up in compton/sc before the crime rate started going down, so it doenst matter either way.

I was thinking this too. Something to do with Darwinism...idk...The 60's & 70s were more turbulent times for African Americans in comparison to the 80's and 90's. Survival of the fittest I guess.

? game and violence back in the late 80s and 90s was vicious. crime was everywhere, bodies were dropping, all kinds of injustice that makes today look like Disneyland. There are places that ? does down still, but even they look like nothing back then.

yea i agree that it the late 80s/early 90s are way worse than present day(2010 to present) but u have to remember alot of the rappers nowdays who are soft grew up in the late 90s-early to mid 2000s, which wasnt that a time period either.

Many of those guys (Drake simp ass, Kanye, Kid Cudi) were picked on and were called "white" when they were coming up. If any of those dudes came out in the late 90s, they would have been eaten alive and laughed off stage for being soft.
