The majority of that list are players that won MVP in their respective years except for a few exceptions.

Kobe: 45% from the field, lowest AST per game in 7 years on a 45 win team.

Nash: 51.2% from the field, 18.8 PPG, a league best 10.5 PPG on a 54 win team despite playing 6 minutes per game less than Kobe.

You can argue Co-MVPs, but that's it. Nobody on a 45 win team should MVP of an NBA season.

mvp stands for most valuable player, no ?

Kobe was most valuable and this thread is about best player anyway

plus we all know now how much Nash benefited from Dantoni's system

This is really hard. I tried to be fair and include of mixture of who was having the best season along with who was the actual best player.

    2001 - AI
    2002 -T-Mac
    2003 -KG/T-Mac
    2004 - AI

    2007 -Chris Paul/Kobe
    2008 -Kobe
    2009 -Kobe
    2010 - Kobe
    2011 -Kobe
