Parker has been playing great and if CP3 is in the MVP talks, so should TP9 who has led the Spurs with injuries to Ginobili Splitter. When San Antonio needs a late bucket these days, Parker blows by as many as three defenders to finish at the rim.
If he cannot find a path to the cup, he pulls up from mid-range and sinks the shot.
Parker reached for another level with a 42-point, 9-assist game conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder.
He dropped 37 on the Sixers to help the Spurs secure a win in Philly. Played the Clipps and Parker clearly was the best player on the floor.
He is biggest reason they went on that 10 game winning streak.

He'll never be a serious MVP contender because....
A ) He's a Spur
B ) He doesnt get as many assists as most top notch PGs.
You're right when you compare him to CP3. Outside of steals, he's with him in every category (despite playing 2 fewer MPG) and his team has won more games with less. Especially when you consider Ginobili has hardly played and will be out again. -
TP9: 19.4 PPG, 8.1 AST, 2.9 REB, 1.1 STL, 34.3 MPG on a 24-10 team
CP3: 19.2 PPG, 8.6 AST, 3.6 REB, 2.3 STL, 36.2 MPG on a 20-11 team -
True that the Spurs seem to go under the radar all-time but I was watching the Spurs during their winning streak man Parker was going ham. When he was destroying Westbrook for 42 pts and 9 dimes

When you play well on the Spurs, all the praise goes to the coach.
-
hes carrying the heavy load for the spurs and should only be behind lebron and durant for mvp at this point.
-
u know its been decided before the season... Durant will get it. Lebron wont as punishment for the finals everyone else is out of the picture
-
except timmy has won mvps and parker has a finals mvp.
the real reason he won't win mvp is actually because of tim duncan
its out of respect that the media and nba says the team goes by duncan, even though parker and ginobili have had mvp like seasons before -
Completly agree. TP has been the best PG in the L the month of Febuary.
