Guys, if you want to try something which will GENUINELY terrify you, try this...
Go on 13horror.com and try doing the dare. I don't care how much you think you can handle horror, this thing WILL scare you. You need to do exactly as it instructs you and it only works once.
Scared the hell out of me so I am recommending it.

Noticed this thread, thought I'd chime in with a modest recommendation:
I think it's pretty good, it has some cool gore scenes, at least, and some actually creep atmosphere, too.

Pet Sematary is one of my favorites. I certainly hope they're not going to remake it. These remakes hardly ever go well.
And I watched Event Horizon based off the strength of this thread, and I just decided men and women don't have the same taste in horror movies. I wasn't even the least bit spooked by it and was semi bored tbh. And dammit I wanted to be scared! -

These new horrors rarely scare me and i watch alot of em...
two moview that stuck with me over the years, Exorcist and Salem's Lot
Exorcist is my all time favorite. And Salem's Lot started out slow as hell, almost gave up on it. But by the end I was like wait a minute I'm scared as hell...how did that happen? The vampire rolling in through the kitchen window did it for me. After that I was done. -

For more recent ghost movies.
The awakening and the woman in black are some good ghost stories. -
The Shining. Three pages in and no one said The Shining? For real?

aye event horizon is a great movie, it really captures that paranoid up in space feeling
but the only horror movies that really get to me are movies like
ring
grudge
dark water
etc..
basically all these j horror films hav the same monster but its creepy asfucc imo
