i know....the problem is it builds up in a persons system over time causing stuff like cancer and other ? ...........
anybody know even if getting stuff organic is safe? i know its more expensive but how do we "really" know its organic.....its in fruits imported overseas...all the pesticides and ? ....wish America could support locally produced foods free from all this ? ...

I can't find it, but I was reading an article about how the organic food industry isn't really tightly regulated. so it's possible they could use pesticides, just at a minimum amount or something like that. idk, seems like we're screwed either way lmao. the only thing I can think of is buying local

even if they're pushing an agenda, doesn't mean what they're saying isn't true. there are other sources confirming the story.

Where?
the MSNBC story I linked said 80, but I was more talking about confirming a high percentage, not the exact same number.
and this NPR site has the exact same number: http://commonhealth.wbur.org/2011/06/sewage-lagoon-shrimp-scary-food-stories -
Speaking of shrimp, I wonder who was the first person to look at one and go "mmm, that looks tasty".
They look tasty to me, because I already know they're tasty, but the first human encounter with these things must have been interesting.

But 80 percent of the fish and shrimp Americans eat actually comes from overseas — and a TODAY investigation that aired Tuesday found that some of that seafood may contain toxic chemicals that can cause serious health problems.
And the NPR site merely quotes the same interview, without any data to support the claim.
Any sources that actually confirm the "90% of Shrimp is from toxic sewage ponds in Asia" title? -

Maryland gets its seafood from the local area so I will continue to chow down on the best food available which comes from the sea.

How so? Have they died in the "toxic" areas? Or are they alive there? -
Never ate seafood much to begin with, and I only really ate catfish which are freshwater fish if I did.
