Agree or disagree? for me he is definitley cos he has the complete package Lyrics, Substance, Passion, Melody, good Beats and some good Albums.

i like z ro but that's going overboard. most of his older album have really ? poor production. and a lot of his recent ? has fallen off

IMO Z-Ro might be the greatest underground/underrated rapper ever. Definitely top 10 in the south IMO, "greatest" is a stretch though
I think his older work had decent production, you can tell it was low budget tho.
His last 3-4 albums have been weak IMO -

What about Mr. Mike?
Mike is dope, but inconsistent by not hopping on artists tracks that get more airplay. He just came home from a stretch and trying to get back in the game. Even went at Eminem a couple years back.
But 'Face is the King of the South, hands down. -
I like Z-ro I've got a couple of his albums...But like others have said his more recent albums haven't been that good aside from a few tracks on each...I wouldn't even say he's the best from the state of Texas

Love him and Face, but I grew up more on Ro than Face. From his solo work, to Guerilla Maab, to ? By Nature, I've listened to him as much as anybody in the past 10 years. I put him in my top 5 with Face.

There is no best in the south just like there is no best period but honerable mention to Zro, K Rino, ? C, Devin The Dude, Bun B, and Scarface. And that's just Texas.
