to stand out in any field to stand out there has to be something special
about you and the product you produce.there has to be something significant
about your music,the way that the songs are written, the way that your album
is organized so,when you put your album out there,it can speak to people
as a album that they can truly understand and,listen to.there is only one piece
of that whole puzzle that is missing,that is gonna get everything accomplished
.....originality.see the reason why most of the music in r&b doesn't work is
everything that's out there sounds the same.the same beats,the same words,
THE...SAME...BULL...? .and its cool to have something to jam to every now and
then but, after most singers throw together ? for an album,then,they go out
and promote it and months down the line the public moves on to something else
and then,you have the singer trying to come with more ? that they are
forcing the public to listen to.the type of music that these singers are making
doesn't matter to them so,if its not important them,its not going to be
important to the people and,if its not important to the people,your album is not
going to be important and,if your album is isn't important,you don't have a
muthafucking career.instead of hiring "top notch producers" to work on your
album,these singers need to learn one thing...ORCHESTRATE YOUR OWN MUSIC.
every single word,every single melody has to be of your own,you don't want to
come out with music that that sounds just like someone else's music or that is
fitted for somebody else.that doesn't help your individuality,your originality
or,your credibility as a real r&b artist.because,we,the people that know real r&b
music,know what we hear in real r&b and,whats just some ? ass ? and,if
you as a artist can't tell the difference,you need to find something else to do.
earth,wind & fire,frankie beverly & maze,mint condition,they are all legends
because all the important things that matters in an r&b,is important to them.thats
why everything in their music and their career worked.and for all the singers
that are out there now,when you think about r&b from back in the day and when
you see the state of r&b of today,ask yourself one question.are you really putting
your all in this ? and really doing something? or,are you just following everybody
else?.and,that ladies and gentlemen...is the biznezz.
