Yeah the same nonsense thread...If the old stlyes were better then why have the new knocked em out the box. And I aint no region hater In Atlanta we dont care enough to hate on nobody elses city but our success causes others to get mad at us.

The south has killed hiphop with repetitive ? .
The south might be sellin the most albums (?) but New york still ? on them music wise. -
I don't think it's really south rappers I mean come on outkast? Luda? Scarface? T.I who has potential? That crunk stuff was annoying tho

808s is like fast food for people ears. That ? ended the versatile boom bap music and into predictable, cheesy southern inspired strip club music. We live in a southern led culture now and producers reflect that. Outside of a few people like Static Skeletah, Kanye, and Just Blaze, the production game is assed out.
Nah it ain't. I was livin by those beats in the late 90's way before it made it to mainstream. For me it ain't no trend or somethin that won't last. It's a way of life. Just like yall on here capin for boom bap, only difference it's more of yall than it is of us on the internet. The only thing versatile about boom bap was choosin what sample they was gon throw over them repetitive ass drums. Most ? even sampled the drums. The South has been known to combine soulful samples with 808's and hi-hats, and when they do I prefer them over any boom bap sound.
You talkin like the ? just popped up out of nowhere. It was around in the 80's, The ? is Hip Hop too.
I can tell the difference between them bein made by some imitation, band wagon hoppin producer and when it's somebody who was actually influenced by it.
So production is assed out because NY bred boom bap has played out of the mainstream? That ain't fair. It ain't even dead, it just ain't in the mainstream.
Yall should be mad at bob, skylar grey, mr. hudson, dre, em, lupe, and all these other clowns bringin them farmclub.com, pop, britney spears soundin drums and samples into Hip Hop. Now that's what's killin Hip Hop. White women singin hooks and ? , it's disgusting.
Cuz like somebody on here said, Trap is the last movement in Hip Hop that is powered by the streets. Ain't that where Hip Hop come from the streets?
I used to be just like yall ? towards Southern Hip Hop, imagine that. I went through the snap era with a smile on my face but by the time Stanky leg got here I was sick to my stomach wit these ? . When Gucci dropped The Movie part 1 he pulled me back in. Waka dropped Hard in the paint, Rozay liked what he heard then came and got that BMF, yall been buckin in the mainstream every since. This style wasn't even the dominant sound of the South before that happened.
Don't blame the South, blame the followers. -
im not blaming all southern rappers i like
outkast
scarface
old T.I.
old Jeezy
Ludacris
Chamillionaire
UGK
Clipse
Jellyroll
and afew others...it's all the other ? rappers that continue to create garbage that i cant listen to, I cant even put all the blame on the south the whole rap game just isnt the same to me anymore, im hoping in the years to come this will change tho, or maybe i just need to try harder when it comes to finding new rappers to listen to. -

Yea because what Big Krit does with his beats are A-1. But i do agree the Lex Luger type beats are repetitive tho and underwhelming. And the same with Boom Bap beats them ? become boring as hell also. Balance ppl its all about Balance.

Yeah you basically got to search for true hip hop..you won't be finding it in mainstream I'll tell you that much...mainstream is not even quality as it used to be either..every joint sounds the same...and the clipse are from Virginia

Hating on the south is so 2006 -
dont blame it on 808's and synths, all that boom bap non bumpin dry drum and snare ? just got old and stale, people thinkin a lunch table beat and a dj scratch still gon be hot in 2012, now the lex luger sound is repetitive, but u still got good production out there. justice league, k.r.i.t., etc
-
I think it's because the producers are getting too popular. So as a producer makes a good hit every rapper wants it to sound jjjjjjjust like that hit. So you get the same sounding ? for almost every rapper with deep pockets

There's tonnes of "nice" producers out there
Nothing "happened" to 'emBlack Jerry Maguire wrote: »There are plenty nice prducersGen. Stasia wrote: »There's alot of Nice ass producers they are just no names or in house. You have to dig deep but thats just like Rap Music in general.
But the Producing Game is ? up these dudes be chargin CRAZY for these wack ass beats but somebody is paying for them. Producing seem like the easiest come up nowa days.
^^^ All of them.

? ... Krit's a good producer, hopefully i can get good as that one day.

I dont blame the south for ? . ATL is doing better at continuously putting out new talent than any outher region. The West & East are not getting behind enough new acts. With new rappers we're getting new producers in ATL. Gucci brought Zaytoven, Waka brought Lex Luger, 2 Chainz bringing his dude (Is it Nyquill Music???). When all you getting is all ATL all the time, ? destined to become repetitive. I like that Harry Fraud dude doing French Montana ? . He makes that ? listenable. Cardo & Jam make good ? for Wiz.
