Def Jam didn't drop the ball, it's just that no record label wants to ? with a solo album from either Big Boi or 3 Stacks. All they want is another multi-platinum Outkast album. Big Boi said in an interview when his first solo joint came out that that's why he didn't drop the album on his home label, they didn't wanna support it. Looks like Def Jam really didn't want to either.
Staying on topic though, this track is fire.
