its crazy now he didnt get the props he should have. I hope the thread do numbers and folk who aint heard his music get put on it
-
Always said he was the best on P's roster during that time. Seems like all the talented artists N.O. had during that period either dead or in jail.
-
*correction* they ARE dead or in jail.

I talked to Mac a few years back and he is one of the most well spoken and intelligent rappers I've heard. His first album was more geared towards the No Limit formula of the time (a million features and a monotonous sound) but No Limits popularity declining in 99 was the best thing that could've happened to his career.
He was able to craft "World War III" in the way that he wanted to. Songs like "Fathers Day" and "Can U Love Me?" showed his growth and potential as an artist. People forget he was only 22 when he got locked up too, so who knew how many more classics he could've dropped.
I'm on the iPhone so I can't post links, but he was on B.G.'s album "Chopper City" and absolutely destroyed it. He was also in a group called the Psycoward, I'd advise y'all to check that out.
FREE MAC -

thats why i said he shoulda been on RAL. so he coulda truly been able to shine.
-
He would've shines on RAL or No Limit. The reason Id prefer him on No Limit is because he had some GREAT chemistry with members of their roster (ie Fiend, C, and Soulja Slim)
That "Tank Doggs" album would've been crucial. -
*shined

Mac was a spitter and a great song writer. Not too many rappers bring substance and song concepts these days. I heard he had a chance to sign with Def Jam but he chose the home team No Limit instead
? happens lol -
Def Jam tried hard to sign him before Master P did. Mac Mia x and Fiend were the best on the label. Mac was my ? . Beefing was my ? . Paranoid was my ? . I used to ? with Boss ? . There was a track on Mia X Mama Drama when they went back and forth and just ripped that ? .

Free Mac!!! I remember in 99 When WW3 came out, I was n that Cash money phase & I said I wasn't feelin it. A year or so later my potna let me borrow the cd, I listened to it & let's jus say he never saw it again. Lol WW3 was one of the Most COMPLETE albums No limit ever released.
-
Salute that man. WW3 still gets heavy rotation in my ipod, shell shocked too. Him and Fiend was the best on No Limit. Free Mac.

Is Mac in jail for life? I read that someone else tried to take the heat for the murder in hopes that he gets out
-
MAC WAS 1 OF DA BEST OF NL..
-
Yeah I spoke to him before too....
He actually mailed me a pic of a young Mac (himself) and Big Mac (his pops) and said that was gonna be the cover for one of his albums or something. Still got it too. I kept writing him, but the letters stopped when he got shipped else where. Cool dude, still got the letter and the pic. And of course its a shame how the laws stole his freedom.
This thang supposed to been dropped, but I'ont know when its coming out.
