continue to put out music that people love to criticize and give Nas that title........ This should be a good opinionated topic. Jay has 2 certified classic's, RD and BP, with some warriors giving the Black Album classic votes also. I want to know the IC's opinion because to me, this site has real hip hop heads, and bloggers like H-Rap and some other's who drop knowledge.. So what do you think...... If you're gonna hate and talk ? , then save all that and blog at sohh.... I'll let u know what i think and what i've heard Hov is doing as of right now....

    Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I would love to hear a American Gangster type Jay less bragging and more introspection but not.like the introspection on WTT. Jay sounded out of place. I would like Jay to drop music on par with untitled, DR or LIG but I don't see it happening. Nas has been wearing the Crown for four years now

    SO what drug tales will a 45yr old hov rap bout? cuz that ? aint acceptable. Jay is underatted as a lyricist someitmes but he sure does suck in creativity.

    All musical gods like Marvin Gaye, bob marley, Michael jackson, miles davis etc hav evolved musically ...

    hmmmm not sure if we can count lost tapes but its def a classic ...... but man imagin if I AM came out the way it was suppose too .... then he'd def have 5-6 classics ;)

    I gotta say... Life is Good is a great album, not sure if it's a classic for sure but it's one of Nas's better albums.

    I think Nas's classics are Illmatic, It Was Written, Stillmatic, and The Lost Tapes. He also has near-classic albums to me like Street's Disciple and ? 's Son and Life is Good. ? actually was a pretty good album to me, sans a few songs and some beats.

    Jay, on the other hand, has a lot more underwhelming projects. He's got Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint(which is a great album, but not a timeless classic IMO), American Gangster, but outside of those albums, I think Jay has a lot of filler in his catalog. BP2, Vol. 3, BP3, Best of Both Worlds, Kingdom Come, and Watch The Throne(not to mention that Linkin Park ? )..... all those albums to ME were a bit underwhelming.

    I've always thought Nas had a better catalog than Jay to be honest. Jay should put a lot of work into this next album IMO and show some maturity and personal growth, but thats just me.

    My opinion is always credible b.I'm not a sheep Im listing What I think are classics

    Illmatic has 9 songs wit 5 of them being good and has dated production its not a classic

    Untitled,nastradamus,I am,distant relatives were utter trash

    Iww,hip hop is dead and life is good are all average albums with 3-4 good songs on each

    Groupies go head and catch feelings and flag this

    Who knows if he's capable of dropping another classic. If his previous work is any indication then it likely wont happen. ? dont have to be classic anyway, LIG is not a classic but it damn sure is a dope album and thats all us fans should want from Jay anyway. The King Of New York ? will be argued forever and their will not be a clear cut winner.
