    Certain states have laws that allow squatters to actually take full ownership of property, but they have to be the only ones who live there and the original owners have to have completely abandoned the property for 20+ yrs if i'm not mistaken i gotta look at one of my real estate books to remember the exact number of years. You have to completely cut on utilities and all that ? though in order to even attempt to do it. But not all people are enough to get out of their homes to get a new one when they're kicked out

    Maybe you could give them homeless folk a time limit on the house...3 bedroom, 3 homeless ? ...6 months each to find a job...don't find one, you're back out on the street...find one and you can keep your room

    it's because, there aren't many jobs out there that pay. Also a by product of ? up lending. You pay a mortgage for 5 years, they jack up your rate now the banks have 5 years of payments and your house. rinse and repeat until they use up all the equity in it and let it go at the auction to someone that will use it as a section 8 house. However, if you have a few grand in your pocket, this is a good investment opportunity for you, go cop a house, put a tenant in it and make them pay the mortgage with their rent, You can make a good $300 extra dollars a month with that 15 year 2.25% rate. ? 's insane.

    Had a co-worker mention something like this to me. His in-laws had property somewhere in the Caribbean. They had to go down there and tend to it every so often. Make sure nobody has set up camp on that ? . Didn't some guy in texas legally get a house cause the owners had abandoned it? Neighbors were throwing a fit about it. I wonder how that turned out for him.
