70s (Sanford&Son, GoodTimes, TheJeffersonscoming from a 90's baby, smoking a ? load and watching any 70's sitcom is the greatest.

90s wins by default...they got the Fresh Prince

70s ... End of thread -
90s (Martin, FreshPrince, InLivingColor, NewYorkUndercover, Roc, JamieFoxxShow, etc.)The 90s by far. I think that was the apex of the black sitcom..it was not so much the hilarity of most of the shows as it was how each show was different enough that the humor was unique to it. Fresh Prince and Martin were genius in my opinion

70s paved the way.

90s (Martin, FreshPrince, InLivingColor, NewYorkUndercover, Roc, JamieFoxxShow, etc.)The 70s may have been the torchbearers, but the 90s was black entertainment perfected.
00s? ? , please. Outside of Chappelle's Show & the Boondocks, ? that decade. (I don't consider The Wire to be a 'black' show....not when the main character - McNulty - was white) -
00s (DaveChappelleShow, EverybodyHatesChris, TheBoondocks, TheWire, Girlfriends, MyWife&Kids, etc.)Chappelle show and the boondocks and the wire there ain't no argument
-

90s (Martin, FreshPrince, InLivingColor, NewYorkUndercover, Roc, JamieFoxxShow, etc.)? ain;t even close...
? said the Chapelle show... lmao that ? only had 2 seasons.. and boondocks 3
yet they ? with 5 seasons from Martin? 6 for Bell Air?, 6 for Moesha?, 6 from The Parkers?, 6 from Steve Harvey? i could go on n on.
the only solid show that the 00's produce was My Wife and Kids and the Bernie Mac show. and even Bernie mac had like only 3 seasons.
The Game was hot for 3 seasons then that ? fell off super hard, and Girl Friends was dope until tony left, Every Body Hate Chris was my ? but only had 3 seasons.
90's had dope ass shows for days.

90s, followed by the 70s. Its sad how there are almost no black sows out there nowadays, like being black is the played out thing in Hollywood.

70s (Sanford&Son, GoodTimes, TheJeffersonsI wanted to go w/ the 90's but, even though I love those shows and rep my fav era it's hard to beat an original and Sanford and Son,Good Times, and The Jeffersons are so cultural i gotta roll with them.
This was the 1st time blacks could be real on TV and tell our stories
