Do you celebrate with you s/o ?


What day did you pick ? First time you met...first kiss..first time you had sex...first time you made it exclusive ...day you got married ?

Also for the married folks....do you follow traditional gift ideas like first year paper gift...second cotton gift ...etc.

    Our official anniversary is September 11th.

    We didn't really celebrate this year cause we had just dropped a bunch of money moving, plus it's the day after my daughter's birthday. I bought him a card and we had some good sex, but really moving was gift enough.

    I'm not big into celebrating ? like that though..V-Day, anniversaries, etc.

    Just not my style really..seems forced.

    thats what i'm asking You!! you made the thread.

    but me personally, i don't believe in anniversaries for dating and ? like that. just marriage. but i know women tend to be different and want to celebrate anniversaries of the first time you met, or first date, etc... i don't like that.

    Well since I haven't married my girl (yet), I pretty much just do things for her randomly and explain why after the fact....

    Like Kat said....I'm not too much for these man made holidays....So last time I did something I told her like

    "The anniversary of when I fell in love with you changes because you are constantly doing things to remind me why I love you so much.....And it happens all over again."

    So basically, until I marry her, It can happen at anytime.

    I celebrate when we made it official. Going on 2 1/2 years. We actually met in high school. When we get married ....I'll consider that our actual anniversary.

    My man isn't big in celebrating stuff like this but he does it because he knows I am

    as for us.. marriage date trumps bf/gf date...i'll be damned if i celebrate 2 anniversaries a year....

    Shoot I still don't know the gift rules for anniversaries; that silver and gold stuff. Our anniversary is Sept. 4th and it was super lowkey :( Can't drink, can't go to these hot tubs I wanted to go to :(( So we ended up doing dinner. Saw Lawless. I got flowers and a gift certificate to a spa we have here. I got him a watch. That was pretty much it. Next year it's on and crackin though.
