Capcom is set to have a huge presence at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con, and Yoshinori Ono in particular seems to have a few things hidden up his sleeve for the fighting game community. Yesterday afternoon, he mentioned on Twitter that he has a big announcement to make during the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary panel that’s scheduled for 5:15 PM EDT today at the convention.
"So we have a covered-up cabinet at NYCC right now. Better check the stream at 6:30 ET..."
Capcom-Unity just announced that whatever is housed within the secret cabinet will be shown on-stream at 6:30 PM EDT.

Additional Darkstalkers title in the works from Capcom beyond re-release?
Some reports are coming in that Capcom showed a glimpse of another Darkstalkers title they're working on — which isn't a re-release. A brief trailer was shown which showcased Street Fighter 4's artstyle for the game's cinematic, featuring Lord Raptor and Demitri and flashed the words on screen again "Darkstalkers are not dead."
Yoshinori Ono was reported to have said that this is the first step in getting a new Darkstalkers title released.
Yoshinori Ono, the executive producer of the Street Fighter franchise, has just made a special announcement during the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary panel at NYCC. After years of fans’ demands, Capcom is developing considering working on a brand new installment for Darkstalkers and currently labeled as “Darkstalkers Are Not Dead”. The brief trailer shown showcased SFIV’s art style for the game’s cinematic. [UPDATE: "Darkstalkers Are Not Dead" is a project that Ono wants to have green lit by Capcom and based on how sales do for "Darksiders Resurrection", Capcom may give the go ahead to focus on the new Darkstalkers game. Ono said it all comes down to the fans' support to get this going.]
To further add excitement to the announcement, Capcom confirmed that “Darkstalkers Resurrection” will be coming to the PSN and XBLA early 2013. The downloadable package will contain “Night Warriors” and “Darkstalkers III” for the price of one ($14.99 on PSN, 1200 MS Points on 360). The games will utilize the GGPO netcode and have a ton of extra content.
Expect a trailer posted later this weekend. Until then, be sure to stay tuned with us as we reveal all the NYCC gaming announcements!

Ono: Fans should support Darkstalkers like they did SF if they want a new title, very interested in adding online training mode to SSF4 AE v2012
Ono: Fans should support Darkstalkers like they did SF if they want a new title, very interested in adding online training mode to SSF4 AE v2012 Capcom Unity had Yoshinori Ono as a guest so he could talk about the recent announcements of SFxT 2013, Darkstalkers Resurrection and a potential release of a brand new Darkstalkers title.
Ono said that they've taken their first step towards doing something big in regards to doing a new Darkstalkers game, but added that fans need to support that franchise like they did Street Fighter, when he was trying to get a fourth title made.
Yoshinori also covers many other details, which we've transcribed, which you can check out after the jump.
Darkstalkers notes
• Ono said they were able to restart Darkstalkers with the re-release and take their first step towards doing something big with it, but making a Darkstalkers 4 is the ultimate goal.
• He added that they're going to do with Darkstalkers what they did with Street Fighter 4, if the community backs it up, in regards to getting a new title made.
• The short Darkstalkers teaser they showed in the panel isn't available yet, but it should be up on YouTube soon from some of the people who were there. It's a concept video put together to get internal teams excited about the project.
• Darkstalkers 2 and 3 have been ported from the CPS2 board, not the PlayStation versions. The goal is to replicate the arcade experience as closely as possible.
Street Fighter franchise notes (SFxT and others)
• Ono would like to add an online training mode to SSF4 AE v2012, like the one in Street Fighter X Tekken.
• Ono is interested in continuning to update SSF4 AE v2012, but he said the community seems split on the issue, with half wanting more balance tweaks to the roster while the rest are fine with it as is. He did clarify that he's more interested in adding features and less in rebalancing the game.
• Expect weekly or bi-weekly announcements on the rebalance for Street Fighter X Tekken.
• SFxT balance tweaks are still in flux and being worked on. The changes you saw today are confirmed fixes that are going in, though.
• Ono said Street Fighter Alpha is on his radar screen, and if he has enough time, he'd like to do something with that franchise. He said maybe next Comic-Con, he'll have something for the Alpha series fans.

Capcom Got Enough Of Money....? Them

I might check this out. Only because I wanna see a new darkstalkers
SFxT aint as bad a game as it was. It did get off to a ? start, but I just think the players were kinda playing it like it was SF4 when it should be more fast paced. The DLC ? was a kick in the nuts too that really hurt the game. But watching replays of high ranked players online really shows the games potential.
