wtf is the difference ... i think most people are still grasping the concept of the internet aka cyber space ... i think most people think internet fans are like air ... you know they are there but you cant see them ... LOL ...

internet fan and street fans imo = human beings ... lol

these are real people ... it dont matter if they are on the street with thier music fye, bootleg stand etc.. or an internet datpiff, mediafire, itunes etc......

@ the end of the day imo .... wether your dealing with internet fans or streets fans .... imo the majority of them practice in buying your music in bootleg fashion LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in light of that what do you call the fans that allow someone like Jayz to sell 5 million joints ... or Biggie to move 10million+ joints ..... what do you call those fans lol cause honestly thats what these artist are looking for lol ;)

...... basically. Internet fan base is just a negative term used by ? who want to tell us that real people in the real world don't like the artist we like. Like I said in the kendrick thread maybe now people will realize the internet consists of real people. The fans that buy albums I call white. People like Wayne sell so much because of the white fans they have. I'm not saying their aren't millions off ? who ? with wayne, but they don't support his ? like white people do. Thats why I always say I wish some of these people that associate rap with blacks would come to a hip-hop show one day. I guarantee you they'd be surprised at the diversity they see...

There's no difference. And rappers these days like to claim most internet fans "computer nerds". I never understood that

It's a logical fallacy to shame really good rappers and praised the ? rappers.

"Street" fanbase way more substantial in my opinion. 1 of many examples, on here Jay z is portrayed as he sucks or is alright. Away from the internet he is easily 1 of the most popular and successful and regarded as 1 of the best. and often the ones who are praised on the internet dont sell and arent supported like the ones supported by the streets. too many examples out there.

Yeah it kills me when ? say Jigga garbage on the internet. It's mostly think it's white boys, conspiracy theorists, young kids or casual rap fans.

You bring up a good point too, in hip hop rappers always gotta capture the streets before radio, pop, or mainstream to really be official in the game.

Same here. I became a internet fan in late '07. At first I would just get music from whoever ? in my hood liked or what was hot in the streets. Now i give ? I know in the streets music from what's hot on the web/internet.

I think I always been kinda a "internet fan" because I stopped listening to radio in and watching MTV in like 9th grade.

lol You know how comcast got those "Music Choice" channels where they just play music 24/7, not videos just tracks? I would put it on to check out new music.

Also I never gave a damn about hype or what's "hot in the streets", I just listen to whats hot period. Could be mainstream, under ground, east, south, midwest or west

You do realize this board is a microcosm of the entire internet right? You don't think Jay-Z fans use the internet?

This is what I mean by the whole false dichotomy not making any sense. Jay-Z is popular period, didn't we just elect Reasonable doubt to the vault? But he's hated....makes no sense bruh, none.

    And for the underlined:
Internet ? dont pay for ? ......we share links

Understand when your being trolled. Very few people legitimately hate Jay-Z, they just say the ? to upset people. Its the same case with everyone.

Street ? don't buy ? either for the record, who do you think invented bootlegging?

White folks buy albums, so if you wanna gloat about record sales then your basically gloating about an artist having a large white audience, which isn't always the case for a lot of underground MCs, which are more likely to be favored by "internet fans".

So ok. I'll say "they express hate for rappers such as Jay z on the internet" even you agree thats true. Who knows why people do that. "trolling"? ok. It doesnt matter. The point i was making is street fanbase blows internet fanbase out of the water judging off people loved on the internet vs loved in the street. But thats my opinion. Based on observation of numerous examples.

Which rappers are popular in the streets right now in your opinion?

Let me know so I can shatter your little theory that popularity in the "streets" = sales.

those artist cater to certain fanbases especially since the powers that be can set in place what they like and what they like to hear!
Do things to get approval thats all political!
Rappers that act like they are all down with white people and support white popular rappers make more sells!
Rappers that keep it real and don't forget where they come from usually sell less!
