They all safe tho so you can click on them bruh. -
GOAT Line especially in comparison to the BET Hip Hop Awards.

Word, they killed it. Imma keep it 100 tho i think out of all the artist that performed i think No Limit is/was the only ones i wasnt big on. Hot Boys grew over time but they still had dope joints and a good performance.
LOL @ Snoop Crip walking and Puffy doing his goofy run as Nas enters the stage tho lol. -
lol at puff looking like a lil girl running @the beginning of that perfomance

damn i guess i must say yes it is ... cause everyone was repping from east to west south alll you needed was some midwest ....
-
I remember this awards, that to me was the best The Source did.
My favorite was the first time hearing ? Please and Snoop coming out on the bike with Xzibit, that was the first time we heard Snoop on a Dr.Dre West Coast beat in years. -
Damn that's a hard lineup. 95 right up there though with Death Row, Bad Boy, and Outkast.
-
Well...? ruin erthing...,

OutKast didnt perform on that one. Bone Thugs did tho.
You had Death Row, Bad Boy, Bone Thugs, Method Man and then a few randoms like Da Brat, 69 Boyz ("Tootsie Roll") and so on.
Another rare gem is this Wu performance. Wu performed the year prior but this does seem like its 1995, maybe they just didnt air their performance except for ? 's.

1994 had a few gems too. The first Source show, but they didnt broadcast it on TV. Had 2pac, Wu-Tang, Onyx, Run DMC and things like that.

Yeah 1999 and 2000 had ? running up on stage, fighting, robbing ? and ? . After 2001 they didnt have a Source show until 2003, which really was with BET and was more a option for BET to broadcast their award show, which started in 2001, to a broader audience. The Source awards stopped after 2004, but you can say the ? really stopped after 2001.
But it was the same before that tho. The ? wasnt on after 1995 and didnt get on again until 1999 cuz of the whole East vs everybody else ? . -

no you're not. this is a great site and all, but it still has a few annoying "bugs" here and there.
but if we use this format - {video=youtube;*insert youtube ID here*}*insert youtube link here*{/video} - then we should all be straight. i don't think that this works with all youtube videos though. you'll obviously have to use "[" and "]" instead of "{" and "}"; i couldn't use the brackets without showing the format. and btw, the youtube ID is the last part of the youtube link that is after "watch?v=."
here's an example of the first posted video posted correctly:
vs. just posting the link:

^^^^ no wonder

what browser are you guys using that are having the issues with youtube ....?? im using firefox and it shows the yotube video as a pic initially ... but once i click on it .... it changes to the usual youtube flash feed embeded into the original browsing window .........
-
yet another possible reason why internet explorer is trash. i'm just too lazy to change browsers.
-
if nobody's gettin ethered or gettin their asswhooped hip hop award shows blow baby ?
'95 source awards stay winnin -
Not sure about the performances, but Snoop and Suge talking in '95 alone make it the most legendary. Quik performing "Dollarz & Sense" in front of MC Eiht was greatness in '95 too.
I think it was '94 when 3 Stacks gave his speech about "The south got something to say, that's all I got to say", but that was dope too -

Nah, the 3 Stacks thing was in 1995 too.

ok, then the 95 awards is the most legendary to me hands down IMO
'99 might've had the best performances tho. Messed up that Pun didn't get lyricist of the year in '99 and lost to Jay Z.
Also messed up that Pun didn't get the grammy that year lol -

Yeah maybe but you know the game, its all about popularity and viewers which brings more sponsors and adds which makes the network more money. Jay-Zs album was more popular especially after the Annie sample on Hard Knock Life.
Jay-Z didnt show up to that show either tho. I remember that. They boycotted the Grammys that year cuz DMX didnt get nominated for anything so Def Jam kinda went on one collectively and never showed up.
? did that back then tho. Like i remember how X went to rehersal and then said "? it" when he was supposed to perform with Jigga at the VMA's 1999 and did the same ? the year later at the VMA's 2000, which is why Nelly got an award and go to perform instead and why X never got to perform at the VMA's again.
Good times, however goes to show how everything is political.
