Better than the 2nd best big man in the game? You act like anyone would have predicted Bynum was gonna pull this stupid ? . We got rid of Iggy and that's all we were trynna do. That trade was a win-win either way this went down. If Bynum didn't play, cool. If he did, cool as well. Y'all on some ESPN ? right now

Everyone knew he was going to be injured, it's been that way almost his whole career. Philly was on the losing end of the trade

So everyone knew he was gonna be out indefinitely right? Everyone knew after the surgery he would go bowling right? We traded Iggy, Vucevic, and Harkless to get the 2nd best big man in the game. Could you have predicted that all this stupid ? would happen and dude would be out for the year? Doubt it. Once again ? 's letting they emotions for Philly show like they did over in that Meek mill thread in the Reason. Y'all ? need to stop

LOL at the denial , ? thought they were getting a primed 25 year old Center that was gonna average 20-11 for multiple years , now it's "Oh it don't matter" ...it was all "This makes us a Championship caliber team" .."We got a big Man that can matchup with anyone" ..."He's gonna post numbers being the #1 Option" ..."we'll be so hard to defend"

but now it's "it doesn't matter we got rid of Iggy" ....yea ok

? that was the whole point of the ? trade. I been saying it was a win-win situation. If bynum don't play we got money to sign someone else. If he do want to play we can re-sign and build a contending team.

Yea you can say that NOW since it's hindsight, but when the trade went down ? was saying the sixers were top five in the east. (please don't make me look for them threads)

Here's what people OUTSIDE the fan base didn't realize....

It's not that Philly didn't want to keep Iggy, it's that his overpriced contract made it harder to justify keeping him. So, trading him for what they thought would be the missing piece to their offensive puzzle - an inside dominant scorer - was, in hindsight, a great move.

Now, Iggy, Elton, AND Andrew's contract goes off the books after this season, and they can go after a big name inside scorer. So, even if it's now Bynum, they have the cap space to get a head or two to make a run next year. In the meantime, Jrue's assertion as the leader of this team is making up for it, as well as J Rich's surprising play.

What's not to understand? Since, even with Bynum they couldn't beat Miami in seven (and that's the ultimate goal, here), this gives them room to fully reload while the core gets better.

The only emotion being shown is yours. Knowing Bynum's history he might have been out indefinitely without going bowling.

Your cap is currently at 80 mil which is 22 mil over the cap

All these contracts they shed are irrelevant since they extended holliday and have j rich thats 17 mil invested in the space you would've had

Foh wit that non sense ?

    Look at the ? again.

Next year (13/14), they'd only be on the hook for $47 million, which leaves $13 mil to do ? with....and that's considering they bring Kwame's ? ass back.

    Plus between Bynum's 16 and Brand's 16, for 13/14, that's 15 mil less that they have to pay ? .

No point in debating this. People in general, & on here too show a lot of ideas get swayed & swallowed up in rhetoric so much. As soon as an idea or discussion goes one way or takes a certain tone theres no point trying to bring it back to center (hence: trolling, derailing, aliases) and on here this can (&does) go on for pages & all the reaction button pile ons follow. The obvious tone here is "? Sixers shoulda never got him in the first place and just stuck with that stagnant non flexible roster they had"....

there will be another thread sometime soon & the convo will turn to GMs, past teams transactions & their effects, Kobe/LeBron & their "help" in certain years or how this team shoulda did A,B,C or how this GM needs to stop being cheap, __ would be a good signing if ___ can happen, take this risk, make this move, etc etc. & all the rhetoric will magically be null or swept under the rug. bleh

Bump, told ya'll .....LOL at saying "Fake doctor and fabricated story".....this cat is done for , this will go down as one of the worst trades ever

General manager Tony DiLeo said Saturday that "Bynum is out indefinitely and there's no timetable set for his first game. "

"We don't know when he'll be back," DiLeo said

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/sixers/2012/11/24/andrew-bynum-injury-knee-philadelphia-76ers-no-timetable/1724545/

from a financial standpoint this is still a good trade for the sixers, who will get out of iguadala's contract a year early by doing this trade. no one knew how bad his knees really were, and with all that said some nba owner will still give him a max contract next year anyway.
