    A Future show would absolutely pop off better than a 50 Cent show at the moment...

    A-list is Kanye and Wayne. Everyone else is a step below as far as popularity in the hip-pop world.

    None of ya'll list are worth anything. This thread is basically list who you like and don't like. If you don't have Waka, Future, artist like that at at least a C grade you're not being realistic.

    Might as well not bring eminem up because the so called ? leader of rap has never sold a million in one week like eminem or did it twice like wayne.

    Oh the irony...

    Most accurate post in the thread. ? love to not comprehend and read it's like their bane.

    HE said CURRENT APPEAL, not album sales...that means the most popular artist out which means the ones the reason hates the most, the Waka's Gucci's Futures and 2 chainz and Cheif Keefs are all B level because that's who the masses love the most at the moment, thats who gets radio play and who most non reason heads bump, doesn't mean they make good music or any of that.

    Other than sales the only tangible measure is concerts/shows. Ask yourself this
    1) Where Would This Show Be- 500 Seat Venue; 1,000?; 5,000?? Can this artist fill up the place where sports teams play (MSG, Staples, United Center, Wachovia)

    2) How Many Women are Coming Out?-may sound like ? . but the # of women an artists brings directly effects the amount of men.Travis Porter vs Slaughterhouse-It might be 5 women total at a SH show which brings the overall # down prolly & mostly chicks at the TP show but you'll see tons of dudes here cuz it'll be mating season in that ?
    3) How did u hear about it? DID you hear about it?
    4)Could this artist headline? ..By themself?- Take a Summer Jam/Power House type event. Would they be the main act? If not who would they open for? where would they fit in the line up

    Taking all that you gotta say that a C artist would open for a B artist or be on their tour not the other way.

    A: Jay-Z; Kanye West; Lil' Wayne + Drake; Eminem
    B+= TI only cuz he would be billed as a co-headliner with these artist & his longevity/seniority & pride wouldnt have him opening for a Wayne or Kanye
    B: Rick Ross; Young Jeezy; 2Chainz;
    B minus= Nas; Fab (see TI); Wiz (conflicted, could be lower); Nicki; Snoop (no appeal, but is a name)

    C: Wiz (conflicted); Big Sean; Lupe; Wale; J.Cole; A$AP; Tyga; Chief Keef; Meek Mill; Waka Flocka; Luda (see TI)

    C minus=KRIT; Curren$y; Kendrick (stocks rising); Future; Game;Nelly + 50 (DAAMN Homie; the pride/denial factor would stop them from ever being in a Summer Jam line up situation/realization. Their own show tho right about here)

    D: Pusha T; French; Freeway; Trinidad James (needs another single + 3-4 more months at this pace); Juicy J
    F:Ace Hood; Jadakiss (enh); Kirko Bangz; Yo Gotti; Slaughterhouse;

    Ok I'll spell it out simpler. If you put big group of 20-30 teenagers and same amount of college kids 18-25 in a room and polled them on who the hottest out and who they like. Would of those artist be ranked like that?

    Didn't think so. That's who the industry is aimed at. Those demographics. That is appeal.

    Those ppl don't usually purchase anything tho. Since record sales are down the only way to measure is Shows

    A = Stadium/Arena Status

    B = Civic Centers/Larger Clubs

    C = Nice size Clubs

    E = Hole in the walls

    F = Ustream from living room

    These jokers are the republicans of the internet. Cant accept reality. The rappers with the most appeal are the ones with the least appeal? In their world Romney won and everything is backwards. Their prospects for success in life are about as good or less than the republicans because the world is leaving them behind. Or theyre ventin their frustration at seein others be more successful and popular. The few thats jokin,cool.

    That don't make no damn sense.

    Different rappers appeal to different types of listeners. There's no real way to measure that.

    Right now, popularity wise...

    A: Jay, Wayne, Kanye, Nicki, Drake
    B: Ross, Em, Wiz, Jeezy, 2 Chainz
    C. 50, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Wale, Tyga, Kid Cudi, J Cole
    D. SL, French Montana, ASAP Rocky, Chief Keef (ugh), Gucci Mane
    F. Papoose, Lil B, Soulja Boy, any IC rapper (looks in mirror, hangs head in shame)

    Em and 50 miss the A list cuz in Em's case, he's been relatively quiet the past few years as far as solo work, and in 50's case everything he's done has missed.
